It's how lame football reporting works...
Team a) beats Team b)... manager of team a) is linked with managers position of team hes just beaten...

It was the same when Poch was linked with Real Madrid and Utd merely HOURS after we beat them both last season!

John McGreal will no doubt be the next name in the frame if Colchester beat us tonight as well!!
Don’t think Rodgers would provide any improvement on Pochettino, he even went stale at Celtic and now Neil Lennon - most Celtic fans were horrified at him getting the permanent gig back - is impressing with a result in Rennes last week with the general consensus being under Rodgers they would have lost.

Not convinced about Rodgers.

Mourinho, I'd like to say no but I'm not going to deny that I'd be excited in a curious way. Not a full-on cowboy "Yeehaa!" but like when someone gives you a homemade treat and it's a 50/50 whether or not it'll taste like heaven or break your teeth - a sort of Schrodinger's carrot cake.

I actually quite like him and the way he glares at everything as if its a boil that needs lancing.

I think Mourinho wold be very divisive for the fanbase although part of me is also very intrigued by what he would do if he managed us.

He was able to win 2 trophies with utd and take them to 2nd in the league and that has been an absolute circus of a club since Fergie left.

I think the problem is that it would be hard to see him working with Levy and much greater financial constraint than he's had before and his general toxicity, the fact he lasts no more than 2/3 years at a club and leaves them in worse shape than we he arrived.

4 days ago, I voted Yes, but not if it meant sacking Poch.
Well, tonight I'm on the verge of changing my mind. I don't know how (or if) he and Levy would get along, but he would add some very needed mentality to this side. If we have hard-working players that are willing to give everything for their club and their manager, Mourinho could take us very far. The problem with that is that this group of players (not all of them, but some) are throwing Pochettino under the bus, so I doubt that they would have much character towards Mourinho. It's a double-edged sword, but at this point of time, Mourinho needs us, and I'm starting to believe that we need Mourinho...

People bang on about the boring football mourinho teams play but can it get any more turgid than what we have had to suffer in 2019?

That is partly untrue.
First stint at Chelsea, he had a fall-off with Abramovich, not the players, and those players were one slip away from winning the Champions League that season.
Inter, left like a legend and loved by all of them.
Real, got to 100 points against one of, if not, the best team of all time, and laid the foundations for the Real Madrid that would conquer Europe in 4 out of 5 years (Ancelotti and Zidane had nothing to do with the recruiting of the players, that was all done by Mourinho. That Real generation was built by Mourinho, Zidane and Ancelotti just enjoyed the benefits).
Second stint at Chelsea, finished 3rd in the first season, won the League the following year, and was thrown under the bus by the players, of which most of them have declared publically that they fucked up with Mourinho and if they had the chance they wouldn't have done what they did. The next year, they won the League with Conte.
Man United, too early to say, but it's looking like he took the bullet instead of some other people at that club, let alone the fact that that squad is filled with some spineless snakes.
Apart from United, which are an absolute shambles administratively, in all of the other cases, Mourinho either has achieved the best things he could with his teams (Porto, Inter), or has laid the foundations for a successful future. He's a cunt, but, as I said in my previous post, he might just be what we need at this point, and there is no doubt that he also needs us.
