Supporters Rudiger claims he heard monkey chants

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Chelsea fans hijacking this thread. Show us the evidence! We should be asking serious questions to ascertain whether this is true or not. To blindly say that a Chelsea player has said something so this must be true is a very biased opinion unless there is supporting evidence.

Does a principled man accuse someone of being racist because they are losing an argument?
I could quite easily tell you a load of bullshit as could you so it really is irrelevant who has what qualifications, you could tell me you have a first class honours in rocket science but that would not change my opinion of the shit you chose to write.

Ok so touchy subject. I'll leave it.

Btw regarding your previous post about being at Beehive and having "a little chat about it" if I dont apologise. The likelyhood is that I won't apologise so excuse me if I'm getting this totally wrong but what would this "little chat consist of? I frequent the Beehive quite a bit when I do go to games and it's always good to polish up on ones debating skills. Not going Boxing day unfortunately but will be there soon.

A little chat is a little chat. Shame but if you change your mind, I’ll be the one in a group of 5 of which one is a black man, you can ask him how racist I am.

Before the "we should all be ashamed" crowd get incensed again ...

The club have confirmed to multiple sources that after the Chelsea match they are using the technology available to review each individual fan, that that process is ongoing in conjunction with a third party (specialists in lip reading ?) and the police. So far this had not found any evidence of racial abuse in the area identified by the referee. Spurs have requested help from Chelsea (presumably Rudiger) to identify the area from where the abuse was alleged.

In a second investigation following a report by a Chelsea season ticket holder (well done that person) a Chelsea fan was ejected and later arrested for a racial abuse incident towards Son. The Media are also reporting on an incident where Spurs fans detained and then passed on an abusive fan to stewards, it's not clear if these two incidents are the same, and it's just the media.

"There was at least one other clash among Tottenham supporters in the stadium where stewards were alerted to racist language after the first public announcement. One person was asked to leave by stewards and fans who reported the incident were contacted by Spurs on Monday" - The Guardian

As expected the club is moving heaven and earth to resolve these accusations, we are not a racist club in fact the exact opposite. There is no doubt that among 60,000 fans there will be a few of everything, sadly including racists, but to believe that the vast majority would turn a blind eye to "monkey chants" was something most of us simply couldn't and didn't want to believe - thankfully so far that's proven correct.

Maybe a racist will be identified, maybe it happened and only Rudiger heard it, but whatever the case the massive overwhelming response from our club and fans that this behaviour is simply not acceptance has once again made me proud to be a Spurs fan.

To all those wishing shame and doom upon us ... get over it, we are not and never will be a racist club. This accusation will just ensure that any racist thinking he can behave in this way at NWHL and get away with it should think again.

Proud to be Spurs - just a shame on the day the team were so shite ...

Two wrongs don't make a right, buddy.

One has been proven one is still under investigation - stop prejudging - off course you are correct there is no excuse for racism, but stop condemning the, so far, innocent.

About time Rudiger started getting hammered for being a diving cheat, let the racism accusation take there proper course, let's focus on what a nasty cheating shit Rudiger is. No question Sonny flicked out a foot, but that was after a very nasty foul tackle (which VAR ignored) and was followed by a ridiculous piece of simulation (which VAR also ignored) how about we condemn the loathsome prick for that? To soon to start talking football again?

I think there's a fair bit more to come out. For example this from The Guardian...

There was at least one other clash among Tottenham supporters in the stadium where stewards were alerted to racist language after the first public announcement. One person was asked to leave by stewards and fans who reported the incident were contacted by Spurs on Monday.

You wish - just what have you got against Spurs?

It's entirely possible that this refers to the incident, confirmed by Spurs and the Police, where a Chelsea fan was ejected and later arrested for racial abuse of Sonny ... but you wish ill on Spurs if you must. You usually do.

It's cringey because having black friends doesnt mean you cant be racist sometimes or hold racist biases. There is only a tiny minority of people in England who are racist to the point they wouldnt even have a black friend. I have heard plenty of racism from people over the years who have black friends, partners etc.
