Son, well-taken goal aside, just simply isn't sharp at all.

Definitely missed that central striker and a dominant midfielder with some grit and a calm head to ride out the last 20 mins. Annoying, but best I've seen us play for a while.

Aurier lost the ball in a dangerous position, hence they scored.

It's not 100% his fault because it's a 90 minute game but if he doesn't make that calamitous mistake, they would not have scored.

I thought some of our passing was good today but once we scored we struggled to string a couple of passes together eventually with the chances that kept coming their way it was obvious we would fold.

He has been overhyped by some honestly, anybody who watched him at Benfica knows this, I hope the kid proves me wrong but I think expectations need to be lowered.

I think our biggest issue is the lack of a solid DM which STILL hasn't been addressed in the market, whilst we scramble around for a ST (which truth be told, we do need anyway) but DM is our biggest issue.

At the end of the day either win it or you may as well have gone out in the 3rd round. Unless you just play youth/squad players. So poch got unfair stick for the Colchester kamikaze. Bigger picture. :pochsmirk:
