This is the most rest he has gotten in his career. He never really got over the March 2018 injury because he rushed back to the World Cup, then had no preseason, then got injured, then rushed back, then got injured, then got rushed back for the Champions League final. He then had 17 goals in all competitions from mid August until he got injured on Jan 1...which brings us here. None of this includes all of the international matches he's had in the last 2 years either.

These 9 matches are basically to work Kane back up to full fitness. 4th, 5th, 6th match in we should see where Kane, not after match 2.

It'd be nice if they even put out an overly postitive spin-job of a story about it.

"Ndombele is still working on his fitness, but he's fully committed to Spurs and the whole team can't wait for him to get back on the pitch!"

No news just feels like bad news in this case...
