It seems no-one is taking into consideration that just maybe Tangy hasn't adopted to England and the PL. Maybe it's simply not for him and it's showing in his commitment to fighting for his place. I can't even remember if he has given an interview during the year he has been here. There is no involvement, no interest in integrating and just giving something back to the fans. How can anyone compare his situation with that of Sonny who yes had a difficult first year on the pitch but he was giving a lot back off it and showing he was happy to be in England and at Spurs. I don't see that at all with Tangy

That’s just personality. Tanguay is clearly an introvert (Martial, Modric) , and Sonny is always out here. Plus Sonny already knew English.

I’d compare it to Lamela’s first year. Culture change hits some people harder than others.

Ndombele is taking the piss out of all of us yet some people are ok with that. He's on the same wages as Kane. What does it say to the other players if he is never fit and cant complete 90 minutes. We are talking about a professional athlete here. He cant get fit to do his job for a whole game never mind playing a run of games of 90 minutes.

It's not good enough and is nothing like the situation Mourinho has had with other players. They were fit and could play games but he sold them for footballing reasons (rightly or wrongly) not because they were out of puff after half an hour. Being unable to complete a game of football is a prerequisite for a football player. I'm amazed at the slack he's cut by some fans. He's going to earn £28,571 today. Think about it like that. Another yeah of that every day not being fit and not playing games. He's utterly mugging us off.

So he asked to be sold?

Salah?
is it he got scared and quit?

Or he asked to leave because the manager gave no indication that he was willing to nurture him?

Salah hasn’t spoken on Mourinho, Jose has though and he told on himself because he said Roma & Fiorentina nutured Salah.

this is my big fear, the way ENIC operate we have to have a coaching staff that us capable of nurturing players. Otherwise it’s gonna be a shelled out ageing squad with possibly a league cup to show for it in 2 years.

Mourinho is function and the perception of reliability over everything, to the point of detrimental madness. You’re seeing it now. There’s no way on gods green earth that you’ll ever be able to convince me that Lucas Moura is a superior player to Steven Bergwijn, unless you wasn’t to say Bergwijn is lazy too.

Skipp is a better DM than Sissoko now but “experience”.

I don’t trust his player evaluation and I’m not crazy considering the last 5 years of evidence.

Is he actually unfit tho??

Mourinho said the same thing about Luke Shaw who conveniently became 'fit' when Mourinho left putting in good performances.

Oh shit “he earns a lot so he can’t possibly have personal struggles” FC have arrived

I remember plenty of us gushing over him after we played Basel in Europa 2012-13, some wanted him to replace Bale. Let’s not pretend that he came out of nowhere.

No-one is saying he never showed great potential, but he made the step to a mega-club far too soon, he simply wasn't tough enough. I believe he's said that himself. Going to Roma was a much more sensible step and prepared him for the leap to the elite level.

Wouldnt we ge funked regarding the HG quota if we sell KWP and Rose?

Those two players are already out of our squad, so no. Jan has gone and Foyth and Aurier will be sold, so there will be openings for new foreign players.

I wouldn't include Modric in there. That guy was and is mentally very strong and a positive character

Lamela is a good example. The club have persisted with him for 7 years after becoming our record signing at the time and tbh he has never really blossomed and become the player people expected him to be under a number of managers. The danger is the same will happen with Tangy

Imo he needs to play for a club like PSG. He is back home in his own country, he will get paid well, Ligue 1 is not physically demanding, he will have great players around him, the only pressure he will have to deal with is in the CL games. No language problems, no adaptation worries, he can just play football and enjoy himself

It does even countries that speak English well can have trouble adapting for various reasons.

I remember when bergkamp had an awful start at the gooners in his first season, the fan's wanted him gone but once he settled he was world class.
I think Tanguy has incredible talent but not sure he has the application to go with it, and especially with Jose that level of work rate will not cut it.

or it could be like the much loved Moussa dembele, who took 4 seasons to really become the player that spurs fans like to pretend he was the entire time that he was here.

I'm sure the club don't want to sell Tangy and he will just have to be patient and keep working. Yeah it looks like it might be a similar case like Dembele and in 3 or 4 years time we will get to see the best of him
