To be fair I think ndombele, lo celso, sessegnon, Clarke, foyth, and bergwijn were supposed to be but just hasn't really clicked yet.
But give it time who knows
Sanchez/Foyth was very much designed to be the Toby/Jan succession plan.

Poch allegedly turned all of these down.
Evans was a no brained for free.
Yeah for sure.. I forgot about sanchez, he's another who was bought in too for that reasonSanchez/Foyth was very much designed to be the Toby/Jan succession plan.
I agree that this was our first business model, but nowadays I do think the focus has changed a bit. This is the path that levy has always been keen on, purchase younger upcoming talent, then polish it up and sell on for big money then do it again whilst remaining competitive to a degree.
If someone turns down Pereira and picks Aurier for the same money, it is borderline criminal

Bookmarked. Define "soon" for us Sammy. For me that would mean the next 2-3 seasons. And I am not one that has ever rated Maguire. I also understand 10x is hyperbole and wouldn't hold you to that. But if Tanganga is a starting CB in the PL in 2-3 seasons I would be surprised nevermind your statement. It’s cloud cuckoo judgement
Tanganga will be ten times the player Maguire is soon
With considerable hesitation, I add this ramble from dragon1 to the thread.

Main striker target is playing in prem not at a bottom 3 team or top 4 from last seasons table so that gives u a good clue he will cost around 50 mil will only happen if we shift Tanguy we have interest in Tanguy but not at the 42 mill DL wants...(1/2)
...the striker will only happen if Tanguy goes imo unless we sell others and as things stand no firm interest in our players apart from serge. my feeling is serge and Tanguy will go and the Korean lad , 1 of the 3 right backs Ive spoken about and the striker will come in. (2/2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With the caveat that this is likely BS, the site that shall not be named thinks the main striker target is Danny Ings.
I disagree.
I think it's Raul Jimenez, given Wolves will not have European football this season.
I also note that RJ's agent is Jorge Mendes.

The idea that we will pay £50m for a player this window... Let alone for a back-up striker. All sounds like bollocks. He hasn’t got anything correct in donkey’s years.
