who in the fuck watched Tanguy running through toffee and thought "he would be good in the premiership", who is liable for such decisions? GLC must be thinking "what have I just done to me career?"

Moving away from individual player criticism the lack of passion, belief and energy yesterday was a fucking embarrassment, the club are lucky there are no fans in the crowd to boo them off the pitch – I'm not one for booing but it would have happened by a waste majority yesterday.

I know that 'all or nothing' documentary is carefully edited but did Pep come across as so tired and uninspiring?

This is no different from the start of last season, slow jaded football, no creativity in the middle and no desire to break a team down, just waiting and hoping for a lucky break.

Spent part of the game thinking, "why didn't Levy hang onto Poch and wait until Carlo got the boot, he would be our man".

Just because a player doesn't do well at one team, doesn't mean he wouldn't be a success at another...

Sanchez at Woolwich vs Sanchez at Man Utd
Zaha at Palace vs Zaha at Utd

I don't know whether he'd be a success, but he's done very well out on loan, and with Leipzig after him also there is clearly a player there.

He was kept out the palace team by benteke who wasnot troubling the scorers. How bad must this guy be?

This is pretty much exactly what he initially said about Doherty. But it does seem very unrealistic.

why don’t Spurs for once in our lives just go for it. If we feel is the quality we need and he is, as he’s a fantastic striker, then go for it ffs!!! Rather spend 40/50 mil on a quality premier league striker like Ings, then 13 mil on a complete Crystal Palace flop in Sørloth who let’s be honest, will do absolute fuck all for us and we will end up selling anyway. Spend money on quality Levy you asshole.

It's starting to feel like it doesn't matter WHO we sign, we'll turn them into dross...
You just KNOW that HAD we been in a position to sign the likes of Rodriguez, Allan or Doucoure we'd have somehow managed to turn them into Dominguez, Saib and Sherwood!!

Just on Sorloth, don’t let the Palace failure dictate your whole opinion. Hodgson wouldn’t know a good attacking player if it hit him in the face, and there are well known stories of Kane and Gnabry not being good enough for shit teams when they were young (and on loan).

Only saw him a couple of times for palace and i thought his all round game looked excellent but he lacked a goalscorers touch. Perhaps he’s found that in Turkey?

If he hadn’t had the stint at Palace and just played for Trabzonspor with that goal record, I imagine people would be getting pretty excited.

Might not work out for him but I wouldn’t let Roy Hodgson be the man to decide if he has quality or not.......

He’s tried spending money on “quality“ N’dombele where has it got him......nowhere.........yet..what can he do?

Right, so 1 expensive flop and that means we never spend big money on a player again? What a ridiculous mentality. United, Chelsea etc have all spent money on huge flops, yet continue to be successful because they harbour the ambition to go and purchase the next expensive player and eventually it works out. More excuses at our failings in the window. If Ings is a player they like, then go and spend big money on him ffs.

He did but we also lost what little control of the game we did have when he came off.. Atleast he shows for the ball and doesn't put us under unnecessary pressure
It’s hilarious that people are still trying to deny he was playing well.
Passing sideways doesn’t mean he had a bad game.

He’s not a creative AM, and was here we fell flat.
Winks was tidy, and kept the ball moving, while mopping up loose balls and linking the defence and midfield rather than just having to punt it.

It’s amazing that with any other players removal, the team going from playing well to playing probably the worst I’ve ever seen them would automatically be equated to a bad substitution.

But no.....apparently it was still Winks fault, even when he’s not on the pitch.

You have to wonder, what choices Poch was given the season we signed no-one.
The season we signed no one he had the 3rd best squad in England, plus Moura who was signed in January for the following season.
We got to the CL final and made top 4.

Not sure why people are still using one of our best seasons in the PL era as proof the window fucked us.

We’ve been far worse since spending 200M on players.

What's more there were signs that he was starting to build an understanding with PEH. Nothing mind-blowing but tidy, as you say. There's a lot to be said for tidy, as I said yesterday, especially when what came next was the pinnacle of untidy
