Think both Bale & Reguilon would improve our team... but one is gonna be on loan and the other will go back to Real if successful - not exactly building for the future.

Buy back will likely be fairly large so could be ok
It better be because any desire to purchase him back will not be because they want to use him it will be to make money. They have Mendy there already and this kids defense will not surpass that. Perhaps his offense does and will but can't imagine they will have that much tied up in a LB. So the BB better be close to double whatever we pay for him and should have an expiration/escalation.

We won't find a better opportunity than a year in the EL..... Given the added factor of the condensed season, we'll have to.

If Reg' comes in though; in the case of Sess.... Yep... Loan.
If we switch to 3-5-2, we need to keep Sess. WBs run a crazy amount, and with our schedule we'd need to rotate.

I don't ever want to see Ben Davies at LWB.

In fact, a switch to 3-5-2 could be the making of Sessegnon, and Cirkin, as they'd have less out & out defensive pressure.

The possibility of Sessegnon and/or Cirkin getting game time behind Reguilon and developing, rather than stagnating if we continue to play our current system, may have been one of the reasons why Levy broke the habit of a lifetime and appears to have accepted a buyback clause.

Plus if the buyback clause is say 15 million Euros higher than the price we paid, it will look good on Levy's asset P&L balance sheet.

Makes alot more sense to keep Aurier as well.

Replacing Davies, sending Dele to Madrid...

And people say WE overreacted to one match.
