Am I the only one who would prefer us to buy a goalscoring CAM (like Bruno) rather than a forward?
I mean with Bale in, we now have: Kane, Son, Bale, Bergwijn as forwards. Even if an injury crisis strikes 2 of them, we can play the remaining 2 as two upfront in a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2?
Meanwhile what the game against Everton showed that without GLC, we don't have much of a spark in midfield. Ndombele played well in his cameo yesterday, but his fitness is questionable. I think we need another attacking mid much more than another forward.
Wonder how many of those will make the squad on Sunday.
Off top of my head, we have 5 CBs in squad even losing Verts. CCV should go before Foyth - I actually rate Foyth.
Not sure where this ‘we need a squad CB’ narrative came from...
Unless we are selling 2 to buy a starter, it just dosent make sense (selling Foyth and CCV wouldn’t get us a starter anyway)

been saying this for awhile - no idea why we are looking at bench warming 9’s when we are missing creativity in midfield. Son and Lucas can provide backup if needed to Kane, likely much better than a bargain buy from some Sunday league anyway.

It’s more the type of defender he is, he is a Barca type defender, great on the ball but sometimes overplays and with his lack of experience it shows. I agree a buy back would be good, if in two years we have a different manager who like to play expansive football he is a suitable player.

Exactly. Altho Lucas has kinda changed as a player recently, so if we did have injury problems and have to play 4-4-2, I would prefer him as the winger rather than forward. But the arrival of Bale should mean we're okay upfront. I honestly wouldn't be too fussed if we don't pick up a bargain who is a back up number 9.
Eriksen was a goal scoring and creative attacking mid. GLC is so supremely talented, but a like for like replacement for Eriksen would be great alongside him.
No-one does new signing press conferences anymore. It will be an in house interview and I very much doubt our guy will ask about what happened Zidane. It will all be about the new stadium and training ground like it always is
