Transfers Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

what you should have done was alter your opinion because it seems a pretty foolish one to hold

hahaha, silly old me, what was I thinking. You know I could cut out the middle man, just follow you and read only your opinion on everything and forget having my own.

Honestly think we are getting a bit over excited here, usually when things are going to happen we get told “spurs are close to an agreement” or “spurs have a fee agreed”

Romano and di marzio are both saying we bid 50Mill and they are holding for 60 mill. Could happen but I’m not getting excited yet.

How do we have the cash to pay 50m for Skrinar. I'm confused by all of this.

We're a rich club; we're just normally very tight with cash.

Maybe the club have seen how pointless FFP has been and has decided to splash the cash.

The bit that confuses me is how we're doing it during a period of massive uncertainty when it comes to ticket sales. The stadium is our golden goose but it's not laying anything for a while.

He's in the highly informed superscout fucking transfer gang of seemingly watching every televised football match lads.

They call their favourite transfer targets cringy shit like 'my boy'.

Yes, he's obviously a expert. I feel such a fool. I've seen the error of my ways though. I realised there was no point trying to maintain my opinion once he started quoting the tabloid press as reliable evidence. How can I compete with that?

Shaping up to be our best window ever.

There was so much work to do but add Skriniar and Milik (insert another striker) and we have really rejuvinated the squad. The addition of Bale is just icing on the cake.

In one window we have (hopefully) phased out the four weakest regular starters: Davies, Winks, Lucas and Dier. They will get plenty of minutes but their influence should wane.

If you look back at the previous two windows we've signed:
Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sessegnon and Bergjwin. These were and are among the brightest young players in Europe and they weren't cheap.
We also took a punt on Clarke and loaned Gedson for cover.

Now we have added experience and brought about a bit of grit to, as we all saw in the Amazon doc, a stale dressing room in need of a shake up.

This looks like a change in approach and maybe now we plan to invest in the squad to get it up to par with the much lauded infrastructure.

I see no obvious weaknesses in this theoretical new first XI (possibly an upgrade on Sanchez is due - Tanganga?)

First XI

Lloris
Doherty--Sanchez--Skriniar--Reguilon
Hojberg---Ndombele
Lo Celso
Bale------------Son
Kane
Second XI

Hart
Aurier--Toby--Dier--Davies
Winks--Sissoko
Alli
Lucas-------Bergjwin
Milik
Notable mentions:
Lamela
Tanganga
Sessengon

The fact that that most of that second XI made up our first XI over the past couple of seasons speaks volumes.

This is what actual squad depth looks like.

Get it done Steve.
