Match Tottenham Vs Newcastle - Sunday 27th Sept, 2pm KO.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Excited for this.
I’m going hoping for a 4-2-3-1 with Dier as DM along with Lo Celso and Ndombele in midfield.
Doherty and Reguilon bombing down the wings with a front 3 of Kane, Son and Lucas.
I know this is unlikely but I think based on the players we have bought, this system will work best.
We need a win here lads.

Newcastle are going to sit very very deep after watching us at southampton and their collapse at brighton was it. Not sure what formation we should use to unpick them. Anyone?

The best one..... :ledley:

Seriously tho; I agree. I'd imagine it's gonna be 7 vs 10 for large spells so I'd definitely start Gio & Ndombele in order to try and pick the lock as early as possible..... Getting to 60min with it still at 0-0 will just give them the hope needed to dig in.

If toon do sit back then it’s going to be a toughie . Could go either way .

Early goal will push them out & it could be another 4/5 goal romp

I'd go with a 0-0-10

Creativity and taking their players on are key to create space. Incisive quick forward passing instead of safe sideways passing that we often tend to see against teams that park the bus. Gio and Ndombele are made for this but I would be surprised to see them both at the start in these days of pragmatism even though it worked well in the second half against Saints

Winks and Sissoko it is, then!

I think that goes against JM natural instincts. But i was more thinking of it from a fitness/injury perspective WRT N'dombele to be honest. If were going all in with him we need to get him bang on fitness wise. Lets not overcook him this early in the season.

Take him off after 60m then..... Gio hasn't played full 90m yet so hopefully this is the game he does.....

(What does WRT mean?)
