Match Carabao Cup Fourth Round - Tottenham Vs Chelsea - Tuesday 29th Sept, 7.45pm.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Honestly, was expecting it to be ugly with this 11. We don’t have the schedule or squad to field an attacking team, so Mourinho was always going to have them play this way. What I can’t accept is not a single defender blocking that Werner shot. There were 4 men there. Atrocious.

Well at least Mou's gameplan has kinda worked seeing as Chelsea have only had 1 shot that I can remember. Just typical that we can put 4 men in front of it and it still will find the bottom corner with Hugo no chance.

I have actually seen a few things from Gedson that indicate he has the talent, but as you say he is out of his depth overall. He looks like a guy that needs to go to a lower level to work on his overall game and develop those skills.

A loan is perfect for him, unfortunately that loan should not be to a premier league club.

But can a player who looks out of his depth really have the talent?

I mean, what are you going to do when your forward options against a top 4 side are Lamela and Bergwijn. A failure in squad construction as it has been for years.

Oh well, Chelsea don’t exactly look up for it either. Maybe Kane will come on in the last 20 minutes and pot one.

If not, I’ll take this game for what it is, a good opportunity for Tanganga and Reguilon to get a run out and for Ndombele to keep building fitness. :ledley:

Kane on at half time (which looks likely) and everyone around him up top will look better. They don't seem to know who should be running where and this is a terrible game to judge Bergwijn on - the guy isn't made to play centrally as a striker.

I suppose the question then becomes: who comes off?

We are actually doing a decent job of shutting this game down. If kane comes on at 1-0 we are in with a shout

Reguilon has shown enough glimpses that he is going to be special already, forget the mistake on the goal, the problem there was more the centre backs watching Werner on the edge of the box, plus we should have had a foul in the buildup
