From the outside it looks like Levy and Lewis are the problem. It’s not just money (although that is part of it) it’s other issues

1 we go from different manager style to another with no coherent view about who we are as a club. Poch to Jose, Redknapp to AVB

2 we don’t sell deadwood unless we get the price Levy wants thus they stay in the squad and the squad gets stale

3 we don’t buy in any coherent way, as a team what the fuck are we?

Hiring a dinosaur like Jose, that is down to Levy. He is just not good enough, he is a great businessman but he knows Jack shit about football, everything is piecemeal about how we do things. Why can’t he just fucking hire a DoF and step back.

Yes. I agree with all this. It's why I want a DoF.

But we should look to get a very good DoF. If we are looking to appoint a DoF it has to be the very best we can get. The way to look at it should be the DoF we bring in should be able (has a track record) of doing all the things well that we have executed poorly. Is the Juve guy that guy? On the evidence, I'd say 100% no he isn't.

As for Conte, Conte is an explosive relationship, no matter who he reports to, he's explosive, he's the common denominator of the explosiveness, it doesn't matter if that's Levy, Angeli, Ausilio, Kangyang or Steven Zhang, Abramovic, Bruce Buck or Marina Granovskaia he's fallen out explosivly with all of them.

The other reason this is complete bullshit Is because there’s no way levy would think anyone could strong arm him or dictate to him.

Also going the Juve DoF makes no sense because we need someone experienced in finding young hungry talented players who don't cost much. That was not his brief at Juve

We saw at Chelsea that the two are jarringly dissimilar in a variety of ways.

Jose is just a spent force, he's yesterday's man. I think far too much analysis has been poured into it that goes past that fundamental reality.

Jose was only great when he was with Faria. I didn't know it at the time, but it's clear now that they were an outstanding team. They both suck separately, though, so if he gets him back he might be again, who knows? He'd have to ditch that other guy, first though and he's a real sycophant, so I imagine it'd be hard for Jose.
