So are we going to live the day where we appoint a manager????????
GIF by F*CK, THAT'S DELICIOUS

Why do we have to fuck about so much.

Look at the Ancelotti move to Real..
... Done and dusted in quick time with no real fuss and took everyone but surprise.

But oh no..... Not Spurs....... We have to be linked with every manager under the sun..... Have half of them "turn us down" even though we were probably not very serious about them anyway...... And now this pantomime with Poch - will he won't he?

Its just bleedin amateur half hour with us.

Just identify the target and get it done in private.

We always... Always have to dick about.
Look at the naming rights , possibly his biggest pissing over the pot of the lot. Cannot do a simple quick and equitable deal. Has to feel he has won the negotiations, which will often result in no deal

That's partly due to both Conte and Poch turning Real down

Umm yeah, cause Real stealing Everton's manager is exactly the same as Spurs stealing PSG's.
:llorishuh:

I think it probably boils down to compensation. To buy out Poch's contract now is probably 15m at a guess, maybe more? Ten Hag probably no more than 7m (again a guess, the figures are probably out there.)

Also think there's an element of saving face for PSG. Not a great look having a manager want out after six months, how does that level of instability fit in with trying to convince Mbappe to sign a new contract?
For sure.

PSG and in particular Leonardo, are right under the cosh anyway, the two managers he's recently sacked went on to win EL and CL (both with identical points per game records - Poch BTW is on a higher PPG than Tuchel for 2020/21 season!!!), which is the problem that they have created all on their own, for instance, I don't see City sacking Pep for losing the CL. One look on Twitter and even on here and you see the twats coming out talking about "bottlers" & "losers" when describing these managers is how fucked up football has become.

So, the only one looking to save face is Leonardo, his position is right in the balance now and I wouldn't be surprised to hear that his head will roll, almost expecting it.

Lots of reliable Conte links emerging now, really hope they're true. Don't buy the Mourinho comparisons, both are spiky characters but Conte is an elite manager in his prime, Mourinho a much depleted force.

We may very well be identifying the target and doing it in private. That doesn't change the fact that the media will use us to conveniently build stories that get clicks. Real Madrid just got publicly punched in the face by their outgoing manager. So they needed a very quick solution to save face. So, they got Carlo, who apparently took a 50% pay cut to leave Everton. Which leads to several questions unrelated to this conversation.

Spurs are Spurs. Yes, we always seem to do things slower than we need to, but we also should never forget that we are one of the most convenient clickbait topics within football media. People will say anything about us, and it usually has nothing to actually do with us. As the large London club with a current issue, bullshit will be written about us. The same as the other two large London clubs when they are in this situation.
