Poch should never have been fired. Bloke had no stadium and no money to spend. Even poch gave levy advice a rebuild was needed. So levy hung him out to dry. The problem is levy at our club. Ego. He cant be told and thinks he knows everything. He does business wise but not football.
I agree and also disagree. Poch was definitely hung out to dry. I think Levy believed he could maintain the CL positions with the squad he had and Poch obviously did not. I also think Jose was in Levy’s ear telling him that he could win with the squad that was in place.

Clearly behind at least 3 teams in the league, not to mention the rest of Europe, so not a shocking assessment.

Levy likes to say that money doesn't buy trophies, but the reality is that money buys you wins which buys you opportunities to win trophies.

There's far more we can be doing to maximize the revenue being generated then is being done currently. Have one of the best 5 manages in the world is a good start.

Just a gut feeling im not that excited about this appointment. Will only be here 12-24 months imo and levy spends loads of cash on wages and transfers in process. Hasnt worked for him upto now and 1 league cup in 20 years says it all. Would prefer poch to come home as guaranteed good football to watch Not going to bother going next season and see how tbis new coach pans out. Another vanity appointment imo.
This! Hope we're wrong though.

It will be intriguing to see how much backing he is given. Perhaps ENIC’s plan really does require us to be continually challenging or, at a minimum, playing CL.

If that’s the case, spending significant sums now, at a time when teams are struggling, might reap rewards.

I’m just slightly bemused by it all. I’ll believe it when I see it.
