We’re happy to announce this F1 car as our new manager.
By far the leading candidate. A great get.

Given the PSG players allegedly mutinied about the prospect of Loco Conte joining. I suspect this is only possible if - as is rumoured - the PSG owner has decided Zidane is the Man.
And of course ZZ would have to be willing to put his Marseille allegiances to one side.
But even if PSG appoint Zidane, the time scale may make any appointment of Poch difficult. And PSG DoF Leonardo strikes me as a geezer who bears grudges, & may decide to sabotage any Poch deal.
After all, the money is pretty much irrelevant to them. They care more about Power.

If Nasser, the PSG president, decides to replace Poch with Zizou there is nothing Leonardo can do about it.

I’m telling ya, that’s not the way it works anymore.

Clubs vary in the degree of control managers have, and not every deal is exactly the same. But absolute ironclad final say over player selection and movement for the gaffer is a relic.
Maybe with Spurs, Everton, Woolwich, United....etc, this is the case. In teams with real managers the likes of Conté, Tuchel, Rodgers, Pepe.... The manager decides who and what he wants. The DOF makes it happen.
