When poch joined he was a gamble but i knew and was quite excited by it. The way southampton passed us off pitch at whl before bale wonder goal i thought he would be a good appointment. This fonseca guy havent seen their style of play. Looking at profile similar to poch. Possession high press and promotes youth. Have to be open minded. I have read this dof were getting is one of the best. Its a gamble like poch but im open minded on this one.
this isnt 2012 and the difference was poch managed and changed southampton into a decent side. this guy hasnt done anything to warrant getting the job

Not many were dancing on the tables when Poch was announced so let’s see.

Not got massive expectations but let’s give him a shot, if he is indeed hired.

Any danger of us giving the lad a chance before we start slagging him off.

95% of people on here have been crying out for a Director of Football, and for Levy to take a step back. That's happened, the DoF has chosen the manager, and you're all berating him already.

I understand he's not the name you were hoping for, especially after Conte and Poch links, but this is who the DoF wants, so allow it and judge after his first season.

There is one problem with this. Paratici hasn't even been brought on board officially yet.

Why do we keep pretending that he is working on anything for us when he isn't even employed by the club???

Spurs fans: "LEVY MUST STEP AWAY FROM FOOTBALL DECISIONS AND LET A DOF HANDLE THE NEW MANAGER!"

*Levy steps away, hires a DOF who appoints a new manager*

Spurs fans: "NO! NOT THAT ONE!"

This fanbase has grown so incredibly spoiled in the last few years.

Give the guy a chance ffs.

Nope.

He's a shit choice and will only make us even shutter next season. Still, don't be sorry for him as he'll receive more money in the settlement than most of us will earn in our lifetime.

I'd rather Levy had given the job to sammyspurs sammyspurs .

Spoilt. Joseball was probably the worst football I can remember at this club since at least the 90’s.

In regard to DoF I think most of us where expecting a Rangnick type, this appointment if it happened screams Santini or Ramos. After all of Levy’s fuck up’s recently you might understand why so few fans have much faith in his decision making.

Levy tells the Dof to get a manager who will work with zero netspend. Dof just does his job . Levy still remains the useless cunt.

We've been waiting 7 weeks off the back of 2 really shit seasons. We've chased 5 good managers and we're going to apoint someone whose picture is next to the word journeyman in the dictionary. It doesn't have to be a big name , even a young exciting coach would suffice. The bloke finished 7th in Serie A and other than winning in the 1 team league in Ukraine his claim to fame seems to be making too many subs and wearing a zorro costume.

Pochettino had experience of managing in England from Southampton when we hired him. My google search of this chap reveals a very uninspiring list of 10 different clubs in a 15 year managerial career. He had two stints with some outfit called Pacos de Ferreira as well.

If that's your view on kane then fuck off

When I weigh up the joy that the clubs workings (I. E. Ownership) have offered me vs what kane and son has offered me in the last few years, I think kane and son have delivered more personal joy and operated to the VERY BEST of their ability.

On the other hand, when I think of spurs as a club, I think of a "half baked" attempt at portraying a big club on the cheap, and it's clear that we aren't doing everything we can to compete with actual big clubs.

I. E players like Kane deserve more than this shambles of an ownership offer him. He does EVERYTHING he can to be successful here, how many times has he got the golden boot!? What more do you want from the guy, force him to stay to prove a point, but surrounded by total dross?

Looking at his past appointments, he does t stay anywhere very long.
Maybe this is a plan by Levy to see out the next year or two of Poch’s current contract.
