Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yet again a world class player feel he needs to leave the football club to win trophies due to the lack of ambition of the owners.

And yet again half the fan base blame the player and aim their vitriolic venom at him.

We just never learn, do we.

Others may blame the player, I don’t but it’s a 3 year deal and City need to pay up or fuck off so we can buy ourselves. Joe Lewis ain’t going nowhere unfortunately, so we have to do with what we have.

Perfectly possibly to blame Levy for the state of our club and state accurately that Kane chose to sign a six year deal and therefore doesn’t have a pot to piss in when it comes to leaving.

I believe all of the above. I’m not a Kane fanboy cuck see :troll::dwi:

I don't blame him for wanting to leave, Levy has let the football side stagnate for 3 or 4 years and we look way off still. But i loathe what City and Chelsea have done to the game and just think its cheap and lazy wanting to join them. They have to pay our price.

I know you don't mate.

But so many are painting Kane as the villain and it's fucking heartbreaking.

We both know who the real snake is here

I don’t blame him at all for wanting to end his career with medals but he was stupid to sign a 6 year deal, he is in a Zaha situation and the club is right to demand proper payment particularly given Grealish is going for 100m. My only hope if it did happen is Paratici gets really good players with the money.

Still have absolutely no idea if he'll be here come the start of the season. Will still have my respect if he does go but understand those that say otherwise. Personally, I think he's given everything in his time here and always been respectful so should be allowed to leave after the nosedive the club has took, given his age.
He hasn’t been respectful though. Frankly he has come out of this looking worse.
While he is wearing the shirt I will support him as a modern legend. Once he leaves to buy trophies with oil blood money he is dead as a player to me.
When he comes back for his final payday when he is 35 and tells us about he has always been Spurs and loves the club I will appreciate his goals but but have zero respect for him.
Agreed. If he goes to Man City I’ll be booing him just as much as any other City player.

Charlie Kane set the fee at £160m. Pay up City or shut up. Massively disappointed in Harry, happy to sign a lucrative 6 year contract and the first sign of a downturn wants out despite personally failing to perform in recent finals. Go and join the City oil for trophies scheme, but remember the honours have been bought.

My guess is it will be something like £125M, with Bonuses up to £25M mostly highly likely achieved, plus a youngster hopefully from south in the borderline wonderkid (or +£10M in Bonuses).

That will help City rebuff FFP talk, we only spent £225M and sold some players...

Kane will enjoy Qatar by 34 mate, never our level beyond 32 (if he goes and wants a return after City buy Haaland cause Kane gets lame for a patch). Wouldn't take him back at all except in a Bale type deal which is bordering financial spite towards City.

But I do respect him and want him to win multiple trophies and the World Cup still, if he goes (just never a trophy we are a rival for, of course, fuck him if we get to Poch levels again).

I'm not melting. I'll support Spurs looooooong after Harry retires. But if you don't think that part of the Neviile interview was anything but Harry dropping his drawers at City then I think you're a little deluded.

Of course it was.....

Like I said: "Not saying he doesn't want to go".

There's a significant difference between wiggling your arse and having the conviction to categorically state what you want.

The press have been only to happy to ignore that and lie instead.

Yeah I agree 100% but no one is suggesting that won't be the case. Paper talk is just that all bullshit until they are holding the shirt. Whilst I might not be the biggest Levy fan one thing he will do is rinse every penny out of the Kane transfer and rightly so. My point was to suggest that Kane shouldn't be looking at other suitors is wrong. We have let him down not the other way round. Why wouldn't he look elsewhere?

If you were at work and your boss promised to supply more staff to help your workload and didn't you would be passed off and looking elsewhere?
I see what you’re saying but when Kane signed the contract did it contain any promises of new players?
Probably not

I just think it’s disingenuous of Kane to allow a blatant interview like the Neville one to go ahead with over three years on his contract and then not request a transfer if he wants to go

If he doesn’t want to go then come out and say so then everyone including Nuno knows where they stand

No you don’t get it.

The press are acting this way because of Kane and his brother agent.
They’re using the press to put pressure on Levy. Don’t be naive.

No doubt they are entirely cynical in their approach to FFP. But the ESL backlash showed public opinion matters too. If they take the piss too much, the same anti ESL sentiment can be mobilised against them.

I'm not so confident..... The ESL backlash was massively steeped in hypocricy, much like any backlash against city will be partially driven by envy.

It was a blatant ‘come and get me’ so I can play in a team with KDB in it

As if Winks and Sissoko aren’t enough for him!!!

Within reason I agree, but if we slap 200m on his head he aint going and having our star player and leader wanting out just doesn't sit right with me. If 150m is on the table, all things considered, i'd rather take the money and rebuild.
It isn’t though

They only offered £100 million and he’s worth more than that
