I have no idea what our budget is but if the Romero deal goes through unless we sell Kane we will have a net spend. Now if it goes through I do not expect a net spend but maybe neutral at best. I do hope they have not anticipated the Kane deal or else it puts City in a strong bargaining position. I just cannot see us selling off enough of our so called deadwood to cover the Romero deal.

We'll probably get thrashed by City anyways, but any scenario in which we sell Kane either before or after getting thrashed by City would mean Levy would never be safe in public ever again.

You are confusing your own point. You are right, you cant compare 60 years+ more in the future to 7 years+ 3 or 4 more years of kane's career.

Kane wont have 60 years to win things as a player like youve had as a fan. He will have maybe 3-4 more years , hiis time is running out and it would be silly of him to waste it on a club thats not intent on winning things at all costs. Unless of course we have suddenly changed course and are going to surround kane with talent of his level instead of donkeys like winks, dier , doherty etc.

MC have publicly stated they will not bid £160m and I doubt they will go anywhere near that figure. If we accept a low offer to balance the books I will join the anti ENIC/Levy brigade and criticise them like hell.
