Is there the additional window with the Championship this year?

Because CCV and Clarke are the other players still unaccounted for.

Fucking CCV hurt himself in Portugal and torpedoed his move, I know it. That cash would have helped.

But a 2019 Marca report said that Betis and Barcelona shared the price of signing Emerson, his rights would be held by Barcelona but Betis would retain a sell-on clause.

There was also reportedly a clause in 2021 for Barcelona to sign Emerson permanently, an option they’ve exercised. Betis keep their sell-on clause.

So nominally Barcelona hold ownership of Emerson, but there is a 50% sell on clause etc which Betis owns.

I suspect this structure brought about as 'co-ownership' outlawed a few years ago.

Yeh, that's been at the front of my mind here.... Guess the deal was done before the laws changed.

......Been 'illegal' here for years though.

Possibly that's just your biased opinion? - look at any rating site and our CB's are not below "tens of CBs better than them" - now it's possible they are all wrong, and maybe all the transfer values on transfermarkt sites are wrong as well, but this season on the pitch so far so good.

What do you rather base your opinion on?

3x90 minutes where we play with 3 CDM's or literally years of football in Spurs shirt?

I am not saying that Sanchez wouldn't have had 3 good games so far in the season. But that is exactly that- 3 games.
While as a counter-balance to that there are 3 seasons of constant mistakes on him.
To everything I mentioned I have very specific examples. Of his balance, of his strength, of his concentration, of his inability to read the flight of the ball.

But as response to that you start to talk about "transfer values" ?!?
- if you mean money paid for player then sure, Ndombele is our greatest ever player. cause he cost most
- if you mean Transfermarkt values then there are 29 players being worth more than Sanchez - there is so much aspects it covers - including age and the fact for which team he plays for. Very good example is Fofana who was estimated to be worth 10 mEUR before his transfer to Leicester. After his 1st season his worth was 40 mil
- and if you really say that "oh, but look at the players valuation" then I'd like to point out that this metrics strongly suggest the downfall of Sanchez, as he has never been "valued" so low during his time at Spurs. His peak was at 60 mEUR but now he is projected to be worth 32 mEUR.

Of course I hope that he does well and manages to keep clean sheets for Spurs in remining 35 games as well. But his history with us does not offer much hope for this, nor to the fact that he would manage to reduce amount of errors in his game.

So while this signing doesn't fill me with excitement, I think I'd probably take it (over no RB singing at all) and hope he's - a) better than I remember or at least b) no worse than the current options.
What a sparkling endorsement! lol... I hope Nuno doesn't introduce him like that if we sign him - can you imagine?

Reporter: "So Nuno, what should we expect of your new right back Emerson?"
Nuno: "Well, one thing I can promise you, he is definitely no worse than the current options"

:nunothumb:

Dont think Ndombele is too bothered about the world cup, especially one played in the heat of Qatar.
I get the notion that he doesn't want to train too hard, which was the problem he had with Poch too but not Jose. IDK what he thinks of the heat in Qatar but I guess it will slow everything down.

He must know his value and rating is sinking which will not be good for his wages in the future.

He's considered fit and for sale now.

I was curious about the champo window too, but I think it's 31/08 again this year.

.......Presumably last year was prob just something to help with covid.
