I would imagine it's because they don't want their multi-Sports and entertainment complex to be synonymous with a soccer team.

I'm sure some people have. Like they understood and got past Stratford, the ESL, and a 3 month managerial search for an attack minded exciting coach culminating in Nuno espirito Santo No. I think, on this occassion you missed my point. Being that the most likely reason we would have such a strangely worded policy in place, a No Statue Policy, is that ENIC don't want their multi functional NFL stadium becoming synonymous long term with a soccer team.

We don't know that the club have used this wording, or that they even have this policy in place. The wording and the claim that it exists comes from the guy from TalkSport.
What we do know is that when you walk around the inside of the stadium it is riddled with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club history, and on the outside there's massive cockerel badges in stone, plus a rather large one looking down on the whole thing from the roof of the south stand.
If they don't want the stadium to be synonymous with the anchor tenant (LOL) then they're not doing a great job.
Perhaps the real reason they are against statues outside the stadium is that there's never been one that looks anything but shit. Most of them are laughable.
A lot of which can be covered up and hidden. Why do you think the seats are just blue with no white cockerel? They want it as neutral as possible.

I guess the approach is that every carbon neutral event is better than none and that without a 1st there can't be a 2nd and thus it won't become more common.
