IF we go down the Conte route, we have to follow it up with funds.... We all know that.

Conte himself has said he's only interested if he can spend shit loads of cash (and to be fair, who wouldn't be?)

But it's no use getting a 'Marquee manager' in if we can't back it up... That's only half the job done if we do!

Conte with no cash is like Tom Daley without a diving board, or Paul Daniels without a deck of cards....
One can only work if they have the other...

Dunno where that leaves our youth development mind... Skippy must be shitting himself!
 
You know it's the last stroke for Levy. He knows he fucked up and will do anything to fix this horrible situation. That being said, bringing in Conte means backing in the summer. With any other manager I wouldn't be sure, but Conte wouldn's sign without guarantee.

At this stage if Conte comes it is with massive promises and possibly outside investment.

No other explanation.

Let's just pause and hope the rumours of the bloke's arrival are substantiated.

Conte played Bastoni last year. He played Pinamonti just to give him some experience. Conte plays youth if the youth is good enough, and Skippy might be good enough for him due to his credentials.
 
Big if, but if he is given the funds to spend and him and Paratici have the pull to get some of the better players in Italy like Vlahovic and Kessie then things could be about to finally change. There are a ton of quality players in Serie A out of contract in the next few months. Levy needs to be realistic about fees for Winks, Alli, Kane, Doherty, Davies Sanchez etc as we need a massive clearout.
