Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

When he gets muscled into oblivion by Leeds next week, you can crawl back behind the sofa until we get some 3rd division shit in the FA Cup where Kane can “catch Lineker!!!!!!!!!!”
15th in the tables, battling relegation? Honestly mate, he'll probably do well against Leeds...they're shit

His real tests comes in mid December against Leicester, Liverpool, and West Ham. But by that time, he'll probably have decided to leave by then.

Leeds aren’t Newcastle though.
I can see a bit of a physical battle that he won’t want just weeks before his dream transfer.

It’s definitely an opportunity for him to get Roy Castle all excited about a new entry into his book though.
Then we can dust off the “He Beat Jimmy Greaves Trophy” while Kane blasts in his 2nd goal of the season by the start of December

I get that it is just the state of the internet, but not sure why everything has to be so polarized. He’s not as washed up as some would like to claim and is still easily one of the best strikers in the world, but he has also been entirely uninspiring and unproductive for a little while now and he was a disaster this summer with his theatrics and some fans have every right to be angry.

These things can be true all at the same time.
Amen to this - I thought exactly the same reading the last few pages, all the people commenting seem to either think that he's finished, or that last night proves he is back to his best and any doubters were all wrong. Obviously any sensible person can see neither extreme is likely to be true - as you say, he has had a poor few months, probably linked in some ways to the transfer saga and the disappointment of the Euro final, last night was a(nother) sign that he has still 'got it', and as Spurs fans we should all be hoping that he finds proper consistent form asap and performs well in whatever is left of his Spurs future, be it 2 months, 8 months, or 5 years.

Exactly. Theres a middle ground here and mainly one side dont want to even approach the middle ground. Its mainly whats wrong with the world today tbh 🤷‍♂️

Tbh looking back through the last few pages, there are definitely people on both sides who hold an absolutely extreme position and are not prepared to consider otherwise... And yes it is what is wrong with the world - there is no middle ground any more; also no one seem to realise any more that two people can hold contrary opinions that are yet both still valid opinions.

Yes I'm a Asian or Australian Woolwich fan that knows more about kangaroos than football

Isn't that right Beech Beech

:harrylol:

Absolutely!

If you're an Aussie - Stick to 'roos and surfboarding.

And if you're Asian - Well, stick to noodles and anime.

He’s scored 1 league goal in our 11 league games and that was against the only winless team in the league, Newcastle.

As a team, only bottom of the table Norwich have scored fewer goals in the league than our 9.

I couldn’t care less how many he scores against Albania or San Marino. A few in the league in a Spurs jersey are long overdue.
I'm very happy he did well last night but also realise he needs to improve for us.

''Goals against teams outside the top four don't count''.
Every goal counts that’s not the argument
The argument is simply the best strikers ALSO score in big games against the best teams on a regular basis.

Kane doesn’t.

Therefore Kane scoring lots against Albania and LASK and Newcastle isn’t the same as Salah scoring regularly against the likes of City and Real Madrid

It’s very easy to understand and I’m not sure why people have such an issue with it.
Do you genuinely believe Albania are as good as Chelsea? And it’s the same level?

Imagine if Vardy won the golden boot!!!! scoring 40 goals against the bottom 10, and Kane had scored 30 goals with 15 against the top 5.

I know who I’d say proved themselves and that would be Kane. Just like everyone else here would be saying, because you like to flip flop your mantras to suit

You say overall Kane is shit. A statement which is simply untrue.

Thus you have, undermined all other points, that you have to make on the matter.

We're not as good a team as Liverpool et al not because of Kane.

Sure but he has shown in the past that he can deal with that.

My point is that it wasn't like he was picking up the ball at halfway, charging past the whole defense and rifling it top corner showing some massive desire that we are missing here.

I didn't see a difference in effort but a difference in quality of those around him.
There definitely was also a difference in effort.

Yes he's playing in a far superior team with England but in some games for Spurs this season he has barely mustered a jog.

He actually pressed with sustained effort last night which is what we need to see for Spurs.
