Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Thought he was generally fine again without standing out, and obviously scoring. We've flogged him year after year and we're desperate for another decent forward, someone who can partner him or replace him in games like this to give him a break. He's clearly no longer the machine he was. The ability is still there, just not the confidence that goals bring at the moment.
His ability is there and always will be there. But the issue is physical. He’s no longer got the same legs/ankles to show his stuff. It’s actually sad to see…

The ability is still there yes. However, I have not been thinking of Kane a player that can lose confidence easily over a goal drought 15 games in. It's just not clicking for him at the moment but regardless when the goals come or not don't think it's related to his confidence at all.

Pretty easy to see he's not so confident in front of goal in my opinion. It must be playing on his mind, his record in the league this season. I'm not saying confidence is the only issue because it's not, but I think it certainly plays a role for just about any player. He needs to score in successive games now, back to back.

Sure it's definitely possible that it could be playing a role but here's my reason for not likely. He's been a prolific goalscorer for many years. He's proven that to eveyone wthout a doubt. Where low confidence could be a factor I would say more likely for a player like Bergwijn. Bergwijn still needs to prove to himself and to the manager. Not saying that Bergwijn is lacking in confidence but if anyone would be affected by low confidence Bergwijn has a higher chance of likely.

Another “meh” performance. Really looks lovely to play against from a centre half’s point of view, won’t beat you for pace, won’t beat you in the air and seemingly can’t protect the ball

Not sure we haven’t seen the best of him tbh

Ask the much hyped Konate if he enjoyed it on Sunday.

I don't think he was terrible tonight. We didn't have the three in midfield with a passer like Ndombele to control and slide balls through so we didn't create much. We sat back for the whole second half.

I saw him pressing and generally linking up okay. Should have had an assist but for Son's shocking touch.

I also thought Kane was OK and like you said we sat back way too much so what can we expect from our forwards.

Kinda surprised we sat back too soon too early with only a goal lead. Would be intersted in finding out if it was what Conte wanted or our player doing.

"Shocking" is a little harsh imo. Son could have done better we can all agree but he was running at full speed and had a player very close to him pressuring him.

I agree he wasn’t terrible. Just not very good.

I still can’t remember a great performance from him all season to be fair. Maybe san merino.. this has been a pretty long slump is all I’m saying. Was poor at the euros and I’d argue towards the end of last season too.

He wouldn’t be the first striker to burnt out before 30

This is basically the best praise anyone can give “New Kane 2.0”

In a minute you’ll have Suduko telling us that “Kane season starts on December 26”

It’s just not good enough. If he’s not going to play striker, then sell, as it’s pretty stupid putting your only striker in midfield (see Nuno)

Id rather just invest in Ndombele as our playmaker thanks.

Lifted these fixtures from the match thread.

Anyone confident that Kane 2.0 is going to look like he did against Liverpool after this lot?
Because we all know he’ll play 90 minutes of every single one of them and he already looked done last night to be honest

“He made one pass though”

Really anyone know why Kane has to play in every game in all the leagues? He's literally the only player playing in every single game and not even getting subbed. We really cannot rotate any of our forwards and give Kane some extra rest days? Is there an unwritten rule that mandates that a striker has to play and can only be subbed by another striker? I just don't get it. It's just a sad state of affairs running his body in to the ground year after year. We're concenrned about it but just maybe his body can handle them just fine who knows. Does anyone think that maybe it's Kane that wants to play in every single game?
