I think he fucked that with his early season shenanigans....

Pretty sure he needed to maintain a 20 EPL goals average for the next 4 years.

I suspect you are right.....

That's very possible with the way many forwards are playing well in to their mid to late thirties these days. Obviously depends on a case by case basis, but generally speaking with modern sports science/nutrition, players seem to be able to have longer careers. Especially ones (like Kane) who didn't emerge at a ridiculously young age.

Obviously there's no absolute way of knowing..... The rest of the team could click next year leaving him in the position to bag 30 goals and undo the aforementioned deficit.

Alternatively we could see his assist rate take over as he ages and evolves.

Haaland available for £64m this summer, that'll be who everyone is after. City will go all out for him, and allow Alvarez to stay on loan at River Plate, or send him to Dortmund on loan as peace keeper.
Haaland wants close to 1 mill a week salary. Of course City can afford it but that doesn't mean they will want to pay that much, they have walked away from deals before if they didn't feel it was worth it.

If that 1 mil a week salary thing is legit, City won't do the deal IMO. Pep won't tolerate one player being so far above the rest unless that player is Messi. His City side is all about uniformity and the unit, not individuals. That kind of wage would completely throw his policies out the window.

They've no need to sweeten Dortmund up..... The terms of his contract dictate that he's out of there.... Just a question of where and that'll be down to the player/agent.

Here's the menu, anyway:

Newcastle are going to be a Champo club though.

Let's raid them!

Hang on...

why are people still putting creative cms or attacking cms on their wishlist? do people still not get Conte doesn't give a damn about that type of player?

Even the RCB and LCB have more creative freedom then the CM's so constantly asking us to buy one when he's in charge makes zero sense. The best you're going to get is a box to box type mid but then what's the point of that when we haven't given Sarr a chance yet.

But he does use players like that. I guess we can argue over whether someone is an AM or creative or not but every midfield he has played has had way more creativity and attacking ability than what we currently have.

The guy's had 2 major ACL injuries and has missed a ton of games as a result.

That would be a huge, huge gamble. Especially as the PL is more physical than Serie A, by quite some margin.

Yeah he wouldn't cost loads and yeah he was touted as a superstar in the making before his first injury...but that's the thing, he's not just had one, he's had 2 ACL.

So that's a hard pass from me
It's chaff put out by his agent. Utter BS

That's a reasonable take but I would ask you are you really entertained by the likes of Eche and Getafe playing out a 'technical' bore 0-0 draw?

In La Liga the bottom ten teams score less than a goal per game - whilst the EPL is well over a goal per game, sure goals aren't everything but they do help. .

"LaLiga dominated Europe from 1999 to 2018. It won the CL 11 times compared to the EPL 5 times"

That's a highly questionable statement, Real Madrid and Barcelona certainly dominated the CL wins, no question, but in the last twenty years England have overtaken Spain in total club coefficient points and right now have three teams above any La Liga sides, with another 3 in the top 15. Spain's sixth ranked team is down at 38.

To try and argue 'depth' based on a couple of games when there are coefficients going back years only weakens your argument. The numbers don't lie, the EPL has caught and past La Liga both in top clubs and certainly in depth.

That doesn't mean you can't subjectively believe La Liga is more entertaining, of course you can. However to pretend that the EPL is not now head and shoulders above it's rivals (and yes it's all down to money) ... not sure you've made that argument.

You’re saying the aggregate coefficients of the leagues from 1999 to 2018 shows the EPL is higher than LaLiga? Do you have a link? I honestly doubt it, but I could be wrong.

In the last three years the EPL had the highest coefficient two years and LaLiga once. No question that the EPL is the top league in the last three years. The prior twenty years, definitely not, but I could be wrong.

Edit: I looked it up. LaLiga had a higher coefficient than EPL in 13 of the 20 years I mentioned.

Also, a 0 - 0 score can have a lot more quality than a 5-4 slug fest. You belittle Eche and Getafe, but the Burnleys and Norwichs of the world aren’t exactly filled with quality. Since you don’t follow the league, you assume somehow they’re worse than the two I just mentioned. I watch both leagues and can say they do not.

This is why I like objective data. My conclusions are based on it.
