Transfers Summer 2022 Transfer Thread.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Both those considerations are important though.

Never-the less they ARE secondary considerations.

Conte won't ok the sale of a player he wants. Simple as that.

We won't sell a player unless a buying club meets our valuation, and that's more likely to happen for Reguilon than Sessegnon. And HG quota has to be considered in our transfer policy, or we'll end up with a deficient CL squad.

HG will be a addressed on a squad-wide basis.

If AC wants Reg, then he'll just tell Fab to tweak the HG quota another way.

"Backing the manager" isn't merely a low-key way to avoid saying spend loads of cash.

We have a HG problem and there will be more demand for Reg, so if we do sell one of them it will be Reg.
Also I think Sessegnon will be starting above Reguilon very soon, he's just been eased back after his hamstring problem.
My problem with Sessegnon is that he seems to be so darn injury-prone (I don't know if he is injury prone or if he's simply been "unlucky"). But is he as injury-prone as it appears to be I rather sell him for a "decent" fee because this season Spurs have had 1 1/2 LWB in the squad
He looks good when he gets a few games in a row but then "loses" it when he gets injured again. As it stands now Spurs will need a cover (i.e. a 3rd LWB) for Sessegnon and, at this age, Sessesgnon needs to play regularly to develop his potential.

If you haven't seen Singo, his stats are similar to Emerson but shows stats aren't the same as watching the game

He is fast, strong, technical & a very good dribbler

As for Bremer, he would be a statement signing the same way Romero is

Best defender in the league, passing is decent but he is an absolute monster

Singo - Romero - Dier - Bremer - Perisic/Kostic
Yeah, watching that video I was shocked to see Emerson come out so well statistically when directly compared with Singo and Lamptey. He simply doesn't pass the eye test compared to them when watching them - in clips, Singo is way way way more exciting.

Only 21 but already 109 apps for Hull in the Champ and League 1 and Cheltenham in League 2.
Surprise, surprise his contract expires 2023.
£ 900k.
I can think of a certain Liverpool-purchased fullback from Hull that didn't turn out too badly.

He's a big lad isn't he!?!?

Mentions Johnstone, Singo/Spence, Bremer, Eriksen, Tielemans but club have reservations about him

Genuine list of targets we have seen with added Matt Law doom and gloom

Some of the wording from this piece is a bit suspect:

Torino pair Gleison Bremer, who is a centre-back, and Wilfried Singo, a right wing-back, are thought to be on Tottenham’s radar, while the club are considering a move to try to re-sign Christian Eriksen on a free transfer and Youri Tielemans has been linked with a move to Spurs despite reservations from inside the club over the Belgian.

The only concrete link there is Eriksen, the other 3 may be players Telegraph are speculating based on reports elsewhere in the media.

Can someone post the whole article please?

If Eriksen didn't suffer heart attack, nobody would want him at Spurs. Sounds harsh, but let me explain. Most of us are emotional and we all were happy for him being alive and playing football again. I wish him all the best.

But he wanted to leave us. He didn't care in his last season here (half season). He acted like a little bitch. Yeah, I know Kane wanted to leave too and now it's alright. But Kane is best in the world arguably. Eriksen is no where near that level. I know I'm hypocrite:contethumb:
