If we don’t back conte now and he leaves, we should go for a project manager. Trying to have another Poch. Doesn’t matter hiring high profiles and not backing them. We have to chose what type of club we want to be.
Who is a step up that would still be below us? If he takes a step up and succeeds, we would never get him.

I just don't get this argument. The suggestion that each season has the same degree of difficulty when discussing league positions is nonsensical.

If he stays or if he goes doesn't matter, we all know that this will be exhausting.
But this is how Conte is. He is incredibly demanding and willing to leave if his standards are not met. The problem for him is that eventually he is going to run out of clubs willing to play ball with him.
On the other hand, maybe he’s toying with Levy and building some leverage to get the backing for players he wants in good time for pre season
I really hope it's the latter and that he's just trying to loosen Levys purse strings.
If not, we're the bloody muppet who has the nice bird, who's just keeping us on the hook till something better comes along.
Wasn’t the same thing said in January? if we get one of the best managers in the game then the press will always whore him out. If a lower level manager they will get crucified.

We are tottenham hotspur. Conte keeps fart arseing around saying I may stay but need to talk. I'd get rid of him if he keeps tantalising. We've done alright since 1882 mate. Not sure I want him to hang around as not the loyal type imo. 2 bad defeats next season he could start moaning again. Poch back for me.
I really want to see this all thing working out but I really don’t see Antonio and levy getting along
I like it though. He's holding Levy to ransom effectively. Give me what I require to get this squad back to an acceptable level, or I'll just walk. Levy knows the majority of the fanbase are behind Conte (probably the squad too) and he will be a very unpopular man if Conte ends up walking and cites a lack of backing as the reason for that.
Yeah I get it. But what if conte walks? Levy won’t be fired or made to left the club. Enic and levy hold the keys. The club is making them a lot of money. Winning trophies isn’t a priority.
We haven't won a trophy in nearly 15 years and our league position was on the wane pre Conte. We are not doing 'alright', we are failing to succeed. What Conte is doing is trying to drag this club kicking & screaming in to something we should ALL want it to be: winners. He's not going to commit if he isn't sure whether the club will commit to the standards he demands.
We're screwed. Likely will hire a yes man who won't demand too much, and face a repeat of the Nuno disgrace, with the toxicity towards Levy returning to the stadium. But Levy/the club will want us back in Europe for various reasons, and they're not stupid. Their best chance is with Conte. They decided to hire him, now time to deliver what they must have promised when he signed a contract.

I'm not having every week wondering whether conte is going to stay or not. I never wanted him last summer. Just fuck him off, call his bluff so he can go to psg or back to Italy winning irrelevant leagues. Poch back for me all day long. Should never been fired in first place. Levy being tight again thinking he could squeeze a bit more out of squad with the dinosaur one.
What's next on conte demands. He wants Mediterranean Italian like weather in london in December? Just get rid levy if his demands are ridiculous.
Fair play to him to be honest. Conte is a winner and draw himself. Players want to play for him and he’s willing to walk if he doesn’t get what he wants. Levy will eventually have to understand that he needs to give a manager what he needs to make this team a success. He’s done good with his signings so far so provided we get top 4, Levy will have to give him what he wants
