Will be super expensive. Hopefully we can get the deal done. He has that la liga touch that I expected Reguillon to have.

Good first touch 9/10 times, and a consistent pass which allows the game to flow. Unlike squirrely Reguilon and scared puppy Sessegnon.

Watching today; he had a bit more steel about him than either of our 2.

Can play as a left wing-back (Danish national team and Atalanta) and right wing-back (Atalanta)

He's doing well for Danmark but at his club, he's not been as impressive. He's got potential for sure and can cover the LWB spot. He would not be my top priority but if Conte thinks otherwise, well, then he would be my priority as well.
Daily Mail says Conte want him as LWB but I would prefer a left-footer as LWB.

Tottenham target Atalanta wing-back Joakim Maehle to solve their problems on the left flank with the Dane viewed as a perfect fit for Antonio Conte's favoured system

  • Antonio Conte has struggled to find a left wing-back that suits his playing style
  • Sergio Reguilon has had several injuries and Ryan Sessegnon has lacked form
  • Tottenham could target Atalanta's Maehle to solve the issue this summer
  • Maehle was part of the Denmark team beaten by England in Euro 2020 semi-final

Pau Torres again being linked with Spurs

Tottenham given encouragement they can strike deal for Pau Torres

Tottenham are given encouragement they can strike deal for long-term target Pau Torres with Spain centre-back ready to leave Villarreal for fresh challenge... after north London club watched him in Champions League defeat by Liverpool

  • Spain star Pau Torres is a sought-after defender and has a £55m release clause
  • Villarreal centre-back has been on Tottenham's wanted list for the past two years
  • He rejected Spurs in 2021 as he wanted to play in this year's Champions League
  • But Torres now feels it is time in his career to test himself on another stage

Yes, please.

He’s not gonna be our best defender, but he’s guaranteed to score goals and make assists in this Conte-setup.

Also, his passing is insane. This outside-of-the-foot assist in full sprint at the EUROs is mouthwatering:contehandshead:

West Ham are the new leaders in the race to sign Blackburn and Chile striker Ben Brereton Diaz, 23. (Sun on Sunday)

Haven't watched the Champ this season. Is this another Bowen?
He was the next big thing 5 years back when coming through at Forest. He's stepped it up last 12 months, seems to have confidence after the copa America with Chile. Not convinced he's good enough for a top 6 or 7 side but definately a prem player.

hard to say who we will get if its EL next season alot of the bigger names will want CL
Don't buy this tbh.

Guimares went to Newcastle in January because they ponied up and he was being linked to better clubs (e.g. us).

It will all depend on the way we do our business and the message we get out to agents and the media.
If we act early and clearly show we will back Conte (and Kane stays) the message to the likes of P.Torres/Gvardiol/Dybala/Martinez will be that this is a team that's serious about competing at the top end of the table.

We've been 3rd best in the league since Conte came in. Everyone knows how good season 2 under Conte can be. I think there will be a lot of excitement about us with or without CL.

All depends on our approach to the window though. We need to make some big moves early.
