Transfers Summer 2022 Transfer Thread.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

nah not sold on Mcginn tbh.

For the CM role I'm sold on Bissouma, Tielemans or Kalvin Phillips. I would be happy with any of them.

Bissouma may have a court case re an incident in October. Latest I could find :

(Wednesday 6 April) Sussex Police said: “A man in his forties from Brighton who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault has had his conditional bail extended until Monday 6 June.

“A man in his twenties, also from Brighton, who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, has been released under investigation while inquiries continue.''

One player we were connected with in January was Charles De Ketelaere (players for Bruges in Belgium) who played in CL this season. He can cover any of the forward positions, CF and AM. 18 goals and 9 assists in 48 appearances this season, so decent stats.

Still likely to move this transfer window, cost maybe £30m ish. Reminds me a little of Kulusevski

Cucurela available for £30m, worth it?
That would depend on several factors, like whether Spurs will get a decent fee for Reguilon and on Sessegnon's fitness (whether he simply is injury prone or just unlucky). IF Sessegnon would remain fit I believe he could develop into a quality LWB, in which case Spurs could rather invest in a cheaper alternative than Cucurella - like Destiny Udogie (Udine), Adrien Truffert (Rennes) or Lucas Netz (BMG).
Thus said, Cucurella is a player I would not mind at Spurs, and if Spurs do get CL next season there would be ( plenty) of playing time for both him and Sessegnon.

Yesss, this is exactly what Spurs need next season: an 33 years old former Woolwich midfielder who's flopped at 2 EPL clubs  :cautious:

Inter, Napoli & Tottenham Interested In Roma’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Alfredo Pedulla Reports

Not interested in Dybala at all. There was a time I thought he would be a great signing but give me a player who’s going to play 40+ games a season and doesn’t come with an inflated price tag and wage.

Our CM needs a tough, very fit player with good ball control and distribution. Contes midfields are typically no nonsense type players. Not sure who would be top of my list that fits that role though
You say that but ‘your’ list is irrelevant.

If Conte wants Dybala, then we go for him. His is the only opinion that counts.

Calvin Bassey from Rangers would be a fantastic signing
Meme Wtf GIF

I definitely want Dybala. Blockbuster signing for me.

He is not all that anymore.

He is 29 in less than half a year.

Of course I don't watch too many Juve games.
But his recent seasons have been very average based on numbers.

Ok, this season he has 15, but that is across all comps. I believe with full season Kulu can deliver this level as well.
Season before ... 5 goals.
Season before that 17
but before that again 10.
So that is 47 goals across 4 seasons (!!). 12 goals per season. He is simply not A-category signing anymore.
With further trend of decline. But still would demand massive wages most likely.

So, I would honestly pass.

Oh, wait, or did you mean Blockbuster like the DVD-rental company that was on the decline for long time and then went bankrupt ?!?

dybala doesn't fit the 343 system
maybe we can play some matches with 3412, especially against closed teams.
but you don't buy a player like that without offering him a central place in the squad
then if conte is able to convert him in a false 9...it's another story

McGinn is decent but hasn't really kicked on over the last year or two. He's no better or worse than what we have already. He's also fucking ugly, even for a Scot. Seen plenty of Villa this season where he was barely in games.
