I don’t remember the last time a top Italian player left Italy, it’s almost unheard of, it was always going to be tough to persuade him. Why would he want to leave Inter? He already has CL football and the possibility of trophies and he gets to play in his home country for his boyhood club. Unless he is forced out he has no reason to leave.
Farmers league. About as prestigious as Holland nowadays

Seems that want to move him on to get Bremer in as well as us wanting him.
Loads of Italians around the cheshunt area just get him a place down there

Verratti?

No disrespect to Tottenham - European Super League royalty, best stadium in England without an NG postcode, chicken badge, etc - but if Djed has a choice between Spurs and Forest I suspect he’s going to choose the latter.

He comes across as quite an introverted character despite appearances. He was alienated at Middlesbrough and said that he just wanted to go somewhere where he could enjoy his football again. He’s repeatedly said that he loves it at Forest, where he can truly develop his talent. Cooper is a top coach for young players and has built an amazing team spirit. Our style of play suits him. And Djed’s Mum also loves Forest and led our pitch invasion. So all signs are that he’d stay with us rather than sit on your bench and that would be the right thing for his career, IMO.

Basically, what I am saying is:

Warnock gave us Spence and said ‘he’s shite, he’s shite’,
Warnock gave us Spence and said ‘he’s shite, he’s shite’,
Colin thought that Spence was shite,
But now he’s f**king dynamite,
And we all love Djed Spence down at the City Ground!
You’re going to get relegated at first time of trying moron.

Times have changed. PL now gets about 2-3 times amount of money as Serie A, and the bottom clubs in PL gets more revenue that the likes of Juve or Inter (esp. TV and commercial revenues combined).

That's one of the reasons why we got Romero and Perisic and we are expecting a few more stars out of Serie A ...... and Conte will help as well.

Yes 2 proven PL players for £30M. That is smart biz. Not sure we haven’t wrapped up eriksen yet. YB just need to wait on his trial then depending on that get him if ok.
This leaves plenty in the pot for other additions plus the money raised from sales. These would break wage structure either. If we had perisic, YB and ericksen in the bag that improves already to another level. Even without other signings.
Like I said this should be a no brainier for us. Smart transfer activity like we use to do.
Trial ffs

He’s not even been charged

Most people would say RWB is the most pressing need. Personally, I have more faith in Doherty than most, I think CM is a bigger issue.

So at the very least we need a world class(ish) CM and RWB.
I'd say CB is the biggest need. If Davies or Dier are out, we are looking at an out-of-position Tanganga or Sanchez as cover. We had a really bad spell when Dier was injured this season, so it's essential we get good players in these positions.

Second I'd look at attacking positions. We need more tools to break down defensive / low block teams. Perisic helps, but it looks doubtful we'll find anyone as good for RWB, so it might be wise to stick with Doherty until better options are available. I'd like Eriksen and someone who can play across the front 3 that's better than Bergwijn.
