BTW am I the only one who is still bit pissed that we did not go for Trippier in Jan ?!?!

- HG
- knows Spurs
- built to be a wingback
- did not cost much
- next to no quality available in RWB market, even in summer
- can take a freekick
- we wouldn't have had to finish season with fullback that played with passion but does not produce anything going forward
- right now we would have one more position sorted out; Perisic-Trippier our starting fullbacks and Sess-Doherty as rotation/substitution...

I doubt we will find someone better than him in the summer.
If we don't decide to pay 4x as much as he would have cost...

People forget how bad he was in his last season at Spurs

Sounds like a good sign to me.

Player not burning bridges with inter / the fans but starting to show that he recognises he may need to move on.

I’ll choose to look at it positively anyway!

Definitely a positive. In other words, it looks good for Bastoni and he keeps his relationship with the Inter fans when he inevitably moves. I’m pretty certain we will get him now. It will probably drag like it always does with Spurs transfers, but this one is getting done.

Don't like his attitude tbh. Shouldn't be turnign it into a public spat.

He's had so many chances to establish himself under Mourinho and he constantly fucked it up. He's finally finding form and now running his mouth.

Ndombele strikes me as a player than needs a team built around him . We were never going to do that with Kane and Son in the squad and Lyon weren't going to do that with a player on loan.

He wants to play the game his way; and not follow instructions from the coach.

United had the same dilemma with Pogba. Not a play maker, not a striker and too self important to put a defensive shift in.

If a team is willing to make him the main man, they may get a tune out of him; but I am really not clear what position this style of footballer fits in modern disciplined football.
A team built around him?

It takes a particular coach for a job like that...one with a fucking death wish...

It’s a good sign from his agent. He’s clearly playing PR with the inter fans so when he comes here he can say “look I wanted to stay but sometimes you have to move” and basically put it on the club for pushing him out.

He wasn't as bad as people made him out to be. Towards the end of the season there seemed to be some sentiment that he was the cause of all of our issues, which he definitely wasn't.
Plagued with groin injuries in his final season with us, played through them without being able to train or rehab fully. Got himself right in Spain and played brilliantly in a title winning side. Personally I wouldn't be clamouring for him back, but his poor form for us had mitigating circumstances.
