i get the feeling we are also preparing kanes successor too

out of the three i want osimhen the most

pace strong mobile

good finisher

he would have no trouble adapting here

with kane getting older too i can see him taking a role behind the striker with his passing qualities
I also want a degree of future proofing but if Kane signs a new contract he'll likely be here for another 5 years and still likely good enough to lead the attack ahead of the likes of Osimhen.

If he refuses, I don't know where he'll go tbh. City and Liverpool are the only upgrades, but that route is now blocked. Going to chavs will truly tarnish his legacy, and frankly, it would be a sideways move. Foreign league means no Shearer record.

I don't doubt the club will bring in another striker because we do need additions.
But I seriously doubt that the three mentioned will come in whether financial or otherwise.
But to date the club has done decent business so we can't complain if we don't end up with the names mentioned.

i dont disagree at all but maybe tthe reason why we are being ambitious with these links is maybe because we are looking at successors

kane is yet to sign a new deal too
Kane is the sort of player who could be in his prime until his 30s. I think he will sign a new deal if we keep heading in this direction with Conte at the helm.

I think a combination of Eriksen and Raphinha/Richarlison will give us enough flexibility to not need to spend huge money on a back up specialist CF.

it could also future proof us too

att the end of the day who could believe we would target lautaro and osimhen

if you asked me 8 montths ago i would laugh
what a difference it is having a world class manager in

Buendia would be a decent rotation option, very creative and can play on both flanks. Villa are trying to offload him as well now they've signed Coutinho. Buendia + good striker could cost us as much as Richarlison.

Another guy worth looking at is Pedro Goncalves, a verastile forward with 44 goal contributions in the last two seasons in Portugal.

United fans really thought that ten hag would come in and have the power like Alex Ferguson had? Just because he won the league a bunch of times in Holland? Their squad is full of overpaid shit. They won’t became great in a season or two
Honestly, I think they have more talent than people give them credit for- it's just that they have no idea how to stop themselves from fucking up even worse. I think a truly savvy manager could turn them around within 2 seasons.

I'd like us to have another CF specialist... they ain't cheap though!!

I just want us to have two specialist CFs, let them compete.

Maybe i'm being unrealistic?
The issue is that it's almost impossible for 99.9% CF in the world to come here and compete with Kane on merit alone (leave the one of our own stuff aside for now). Then you have to factor in Son who has become a prolific scorer, and a world class striker himself. You now have to compete with Kane, the Sonny's striking partner too.

I only hope for a back up. Someone who can dispatch fodder teams to give Kane and Son some rest. The whole developing a successor while Kane is still here is unrealistic. The shadow is too big.
