Yeah, i was never against signing Lenglet. As neither of those are available this summer either, we are no worse off, and signing Lenglet gives us LCB cover for Davies with a possibility that he will prove to be better than Davies

exactly! dier is not the man you want at the heart of your defence getting on the ball. its ok if youre mid table, going for major honours and champs league football, no chance!I am one of the few on here that thinks Dier trying to pick a pass is terrifying. Some people think he's got Toby-esque range but he VERY often miss hits it straight into the middle of the park and puts us under pressure.
Don't be silly.Nooooo, it will all go on those agent fees for those mega profile players we've signed.
Don't be silly.
Agents don't get money for getting a deal for their players and a free signing really is free as well.
What on Earth are you banging on about?Assume you're talking about his debut under Mourinho when we lost?
Hasn't played Liverpool since.
And only played about a dozen games at all as far as I recall.
And give Inter a squillion ponds for Perisic , cos that'll make him a better player. Is our squad now much stronger than last season?
Rhetorical question because the obvious fucking answer is YES.
The amount of money spent is irrelevant - it's strengthing the squad that's important.
Fucking struggling to get my beautiful head around people who don't get this, tbh.
I know. Let's go back and give Brighton another £80m on top of what we spent on Bissouma, so we can say we've spent big.
That'll count

Football agents pocketed $1m-plus on 117 transfer deals in 2021, Fifa reveals
Football agents’ fees increased in 2021 despite a drop in the amount spent on transfers, according to Fifawww.theguardian.com
But no , a free signing actually costs us nothing and agents work for goodwill and charity. They definitely don't make any money.
In any case only those who are obsessed with net spend actually give a fuck.
Everyone else is just happy that we are improving our team and our squad.
And give Inter a squillion ponds for Perisic , cos that'll make him a better player.

ForsterObviously agents get money. It isn't going to be money that swallows up large parts of our reported budget though, we're not signing Haaland. The only deal we've done where I could see some big agent fee would be Perisic, and even then he's 33 and not some superstar owned by Raiola.
We disagree when it comes to the extent we've improved the squad. Still big holes & RWB/LCB haven't definitively been improved.
What on Earth are you banging on about?
He played v Liverpool 7th May, had Salah in his pocket. They nicked a draw with a deflection.
3 years left in his contract, and we’re not exactly swimming in club trained/home grown players. He's played 23 games in 3 seasons. I dread to think how many he's missed through injury.
Forster
Perisic
Bissouma
Richarlison
But we haven't improved the squad.
Ok.
The window isn't closed yet either, we'll sign more players.

You've literally just shot down your own argument. Why do you sycophants think people are suggesting we pay more for players we've signed, instead of realizing people probably want us to aim higher, or look at different areas of the team?
Maybe instead of Spence for 15m or Lenglet on loan people want heavier investment there? It's not hard to work at, your bullshit conclusion that people who want more spending just want the club to pay more for the same players is hilarious.
You've literally just shot down your own argument.
It's the quality of players that count not the amount spent.
£60m for Ndombele must be a great signing.
Bissouma for £25m must be shite.
But you carry on with your levy bashing even though we've already improved the squad massively and we're going to be signing more players.
