I mean obviously he isn't a world-beater, he's a bet. They signed new people (including Dybala, as Andrius said) and have less room/budget for him. Of course he's not a signing who you're sure would do well, but players perform differently in different teams. If Conte wants him, it's because he thinks he can use him and make him play well.

Kulu and Bentancur being perfect examples.

Agree that Conte is a fan, and Roma have done a ton pf money this window so i guess someone has to go and for decent money.

I just cannot see Maddison coming to Spurs, and the next best available option is Zaniolo.

No. Obviously not.

The preference would be nobody is insulted for disagreeing about football, but if you have to insult them then calling somebody an idiot is a lot better than mentally ill.

No it isn’t

What do you think an idiot is?

Absolute cracker even for you!
Have you heard of the term ‘village idiot’?

So called because every village had someone who was mentally ill!!

Yeah what you're referring to is a really clear example of how language evolves. That particular use of the term is dated and the word is now commonly used to refer to somebody who is unintelligent.

It isn't used to refer to people with intellectual disabilities anymore, and hasn't been for a long time. That isn’t the way it is defined in most dictionaries you'll pick up. Unless you've got a time machine handy, that is.

(Btw if you're gonna act like calling somebody an idiot is as bad as calling them mentally ill .. you might wanna go back and delete past posts where you've called others idiots, because they're out there old boy. But don't worry I already knew it was all performative xxxx. )

Presume we'll have to announce our registered squad this week, will be interesting to see if Winks, Ndombele and Reguilon are listed - GLC looks like his move will happen but no concrete rumours about the other 3.

With our current squad, if we include everyone (besides GLC), it comes to 28. That includes 5 Club HG (Kane, Tanganga, Skipp, Austin, Winks) as well as 3 more HG (Sessegnon, Forster, Spence - Dier and Davies too in PL). Gil and Sarr don't need to be registered in the PL, so that would mean we have one too many still. Need to ship players out if we want a final player.

Does it really matter if the badge means anything to him if he’s not going to get games ? Spurs don’t pay him thousands of £ to be a fan.

He should move on & try to resurrect his career or does he want to be our Bogarde,? Tanguy already is , useless turnip
He probably wants to stay at the only club he's ever played with going back to when he was a tot and see if he can be a part, any part, of a Spurs squad that wins a trophy.

I really don't understand why people have a hard time understanding that. Tottenham signed him to a contract, and he's well within his rights to see it through.

I, for one, find it refreshing to see a player who came up in the club his whole life care so much about the club.

Better than fucking Kane who gave an interview sucking off KDB before the season before last had even closed, went on strike to try and force a move, then fucking sulked for 6 months because he didn't get his way. Or have we forgotten that now?

It’s clear to everyone that he’s no longer required because he’s not good enough , it doesn’t really matter what he wants , it’s not a charity.

Don't think he's asking for charity. The club signed him to a contract they were happy to have agreed to when it was done. He's doing absolutely nothing wrong in continuing his employment under that contract.

So he has absolutely no will to play football ? Brilliant , although looking at his stats , defensively & attacking , it’s always been questionable.

£50,000 a week 😂 of course he loves the club

If Zaniolo’s so good, why would Mourinho sanction his sale to us ?

You could see how much the friendly victory meant to him, he ain’t helping us one bit.

I’m not totally convinced about Zaniolo personally (although he does look to have something special about him) but Mourinho has an extensive and shameful track record when it comes to letting go of top talent such as KDB, Salah, Lukaku, Bonnuci, Filipe Luis, and the list goes on.

Players rejected by Jose Mourinho who have gone on to shine

Wonder if NDombele could be used as a makeweight for Maddison.
Brenton is the kind of manager who’d have confidence to believe he’d be able to get a tune out of him. And it might actually placate their fans for having sold one of their stars.
£50m + Tanguy?

I can’t stand Rodgers but I doubt he’s that daft . I know managers generally have huge egos who think that they can get a player going but that deal would probably cost him his job .
Maddison is going to Newcastle 100%
He doesn’t seem to want to go

Put yourself in a Leicester fans shoes, imagine swapping your best player for the laziest waste of space the league has ever seen….

It’s footballing suicide

I really hope Chelski won't get Gvardiol. And if they buy Cucureall, does it mean they have given up on Chilwell full recovering?

Chelsea close to beating Manchester City to capture of Marc Cucurella

Barcelona are looking for a left back aren’t they? Could it happen again 😂😂😂

€50m back into the club for a player coming off a horrendous injury and they bought in Dybala, Mourinho is taking that all day long.

I don’t want zaniolo. He seems the typical player that a club buys for a manager, that manager leaves and then the club are lumbered with him. The injuries are a worry long term though surely even if he played all last season. With our medical team too he could be back in trouble pretty quickly!
