If reports of us being interested are true, we'll get this done.

And knowing Levy, even less than the £18,000,000 they want. Shit load of add-ons and a Joshua Onomah clay model.

Well, I mean, it’s not really is it?

Very reputable journalists are/have reported our interest to to be genuine.

What you’re doing is a classic case of Spurs fans shouting “that’s obviously bullshit” to any news that comes out which they don’t want to hear.
Well… yes, and no. I was calling bs in the massive money, there’s no way we’re paying anything near whatbchelsea are offering. He also wants Chelsea, according to reports. He is not clearly better than Gil and Everton don’t want to sell. So we are interested… in paying fuck all for someone we’re not going to get anyway.

As I said - repeatedly throwing shit eventually finds some that sticks.
You seem to be implying that all the bad hires and terrible decisions have been a part of the plan to get us to where we are today. If you are insinuating that then you my friend are going on my ignore list.
You made that up.

Perhaps hiring and recruitment is a really difficult process and that no one get it right on the pitch consistently without huge money or huge reputation.

We are doing as well or better than any other club in that time period who doesn’t have massive reputation or money.

I'm about to do 2 things that have annoyed me the last week in this thread....

1) Throw out a random name that has not been rumored/sourced to Spurs
2) Suggest another player that primarily plays LWF and would compete with Son/Richarlison

Cody Gakpo. 23 years old and rumored to ManU, if Antony falls through. He has played some on the right-side with the Dutch, but more importantly he's somebody that could grow into a much bigger role here, as Son and Kane get older. He's huge, runs well, and had 21 goals and 15 assists across 47 games last year in all comps. Transfermarkt estimates £28M.

Better use of cash long term then some of the other names thrown around this week.

I watched a few PSV games and don’t think he’s that good. He doesn’t really have any stand out traits besides being very tall for a winger.

I don’t think he’s better than Bergwijn and only 1.5 years younger.

We just should go for Doku. One of the best upcoming wingers in the world. So skilful and fast. He's been injured for a big part of last season but after the World Cup he'll be hyped up.

Other great Belgian talents are Debast from Anderlecht and Lavia from Southampton.

They have a great generation coming up again.

This board has some weird obsession with hating on every player that is pacey and a good dribbler.

Many fans overrate ASM, Traore, Zaha /etc, so now there’s a group of people that are overcompensating and act like these players are terrible.

The real answer is that these players are very useful in some situations and their flaws stick out if they aren’t in the right situation… but these players are certainly not as poor as many on here think.
There is no comparison betw zaha and Adama. His in a diff league. His their bloody captain as well. Adama is just a runner. Whereas zaha and to some extent asm are both good at close control and going past players without having to put on the turbo. Like the old days where wingers could just glide past players. They both have better end product. Not sure why Adama is mentioned in the sane sentence. If all 3 were available I bet they’d be very takers for Adama. No one wanted him January not even wolves.

I don’t disagree. Traore is definitely the weakest (not physically) player of those listed. But many on this board seem to lump together all pacey dribblers that don’t play for a top 6 team.

Am I right in thinking according to Conte

Ndombele, Lo Celso, Winks, Reguilon leave - no replacement

BUT

Tanganga/ Gil leave - both will be replaced

so still 2 players to come in - an attacking/wing forward and a CB?

Ndom and GLC weren’t here in the spring so the replacement was already in the squad (Bentancur and maybe Sarr… remember there was no Europe in the spring so we didn’t need 5 CMs ). Reguilon replacement is Perisic. Winks replacement was Bissouma.

What people here miscalculated about the Chelsea change of ownership is that Abramavic isn't demanding al his money back, the new guy isn't poor and the 20 years of consistent success on the pitch has, despite all the whining on here, made them a big, wealthy club.

As much as you all hate that, I thank them for starting the rot at Man United.

Chelsea was sold for 4.25 billion pounds. When you say Abramovich isn't demanding his money back makes no difference.

That debt doesn't make them wealthy now does it?
