Didn't realise that Leicester paid a whopping £37m for him in 2020 when he was 19.
He is not even a full France international.

Hang on. This player isn't available. There must be some mistake.

Brendan Rodgers said so himself only a couple of weeks ago. I saw his lips moving as the words came out of his mouth!

Paratici may well have identified Zabarnyi as a CB with a high ceiling, a potential Gvardiol or Fofana, who would cost 3 times as much next summer. So buying him now for the rumoured 20m Euros would be betting on him becoming a top player in time. The same bet Paratici has made on Gil, Sarr & Destiny Udogie.

But as others have said, barring an injury crisis, Zabarnyi would be unlikely to play much this season.

There's also the balance of the CBs likely to be in our final squads. Assuming Japhet leaves, Davinson covers Romero at RCB, Lenglet & Davies will compete at LCB, but with Rodon gone, we have no obvious cover for Dier.

Zabarnyi can play at LCB. Does Conte think either Lenglet or Zabarnyi could also play at CCB as & when Dier isn't available?
Lenglet has mostly played in a 4-man defense so he is used to playing centrally, so yes he could also cover for Dier as CCB.

This is what happens with such a distorted industry where all the wealth sits with a dozen or so PL clubs. The players you mentioned there are nowhere near elite but impossible for most to afford. So instead of going to play for a team at their level they prefer to see out their massive contracts. Can’t blame them for doing so but so much talent out there is wasted

I vote to ditch ffp and have an independent body rate players and those ratings put them in predetermined price brackets. That way, money clubs can't blow normal clubs out of the water, and selling clubs can't price players out of moves to other clubs.
And the knock on, is that if a selling club loses a player they didn't want to sell, they can just use that money to buy another player in the same price bracket

You really are thick, aren't you? Go back to my post as to what a player being available means. Player wants to move and to the team that is after him. Once that is the case, the selling club can either dig in or cash in. And because Brenton said he's not available you actually believed that? What did you expect him to say, "hey he's on the market, we really want to sell?" You must be really gullible to brother that.

But you tell me, sparky, which player wanted to come to us that we were interested in that we didn't get? And don't give me the tired bs that we're not aggressive enough. Every team has a ceiling that they will spend on a player, based on how they value him. You want us to pay £150 million for someone that's worth £50 million? I mean, even City said fuck off to Brighton for the fee they wanted for Cucurella. Are they not ambitious enough either?

As usual, load of bollocks argument.

They could just use the fifa game for this. 😂

Tbf thé compétition is unreal. We’re hanging on to centrebacks who have done a great job. But I hope after the wc we get rid of Varane (29) and Kimpembe (27) who aren’t even that old for centrebacks and go for youth.

French U23 centrebacks:
23: Koundé, Upamecano, Konaté, Zagadou, N’Dicka
22: Lacroix, Todibo
21: Saliba, Fofana

Throw in Pavard and Hernández (both 26) who play in a back 3 for Bayern and there is an embarrassing amount of talent.

There are going to be more Laportes in the next decade who play for top teams and don’t get a look in.

I've only seen him play a handful of times but he looks to me as if his best fit in our system is at ccb.

It’s probably not him, but it does seem strange Zaha was taken from squad yesterday because of “injury” and Viera was very short in his interview after regarding him. Add to the fact Gattuso has just said our Gil replacement is 99% done. Zaha plays in Gil’s position and we have always been tracking Zaha, anyone think this has legs?
