Read somewhere that there was beef between Levy and Roman since they poached Arnesen which is why Spurs and Chelsea were't doing business with each other, not sure it's the same case now since Boehly is in.

He’s not a forward, he played left midfield in the middle third before we signed him.

He was a sensation at Ajax and is a total and utter flop at Chelsea. Not sure how anyone can be definitive at where he is now performance-wise.

His shitness, and let's not try to make out he has been anything other than shit at Chelsea, might well be down to profile and fit both with Manager and Player etc. I think he at least did enough at Ajax to demonstrate that within that team's style and set-up his profile was perfect.

But does beg the question of whether (assuming the links are genuine) how the fuck his profile would be a good fit in Conte's system. If we played like Ten Hag's Ajax then we should be all over him, but we don't, not even remotely close.

Not sure where some of this negativity has come from but it's surprising. We have been organised, gone about our business like a well run club and our squad is now far better than it was.

I've never been told any different. We are still trying to bring players in. How this all pans out now is anyone's guess as there are so many potential eventualities depending on who goes/stays and their position.

I'll be gobsmacked if we don't bring in at least one. But you 100% cannot rule out a 2nd player if everything falls into place.

Let's just sit back and enjoy the last couple of days. Usually at this point, we are running around like headless chickens, being linked with so many names and inevitably failing and leaving the squad short. I do think we are a AM and CB short of giving it a real go, but read Conte's quotes clearly, this isn't something that can all be done in one window.
