Transfers Summer 2022 Transfer Thread.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

All fan talk. Conte didn’t want him. Plus we don’t play that way. Plus he’s a cunt
haha thorough response! :)

Mostly we don't play that way, but I think having a CAM would be a great option to mix up the attack from the bench, or occasionally to start with a 3412.

Sometimes plan A doesn't work and there have been lots of matches where we might have benefited from a bit of creativity over recent years!

Barcelona could move for Woolwich and Spain right-back Hector Bellerin, 27, if they are unable to land Argentina defender Juan Foyth, 24, from Villarreal in the final days of the summer transfer window. (90min)

Sadly not sure about the stadium anymore giving us financial power . Not Levy’s fault but we have been so unlucky with the pandemic and now a cost of living crisis that will decimate the sports , entertainment and hospitality industry. Desperately hope I am wrong but Q4 onwards things are going to get horrifically tough for so many now I fear

I get what you mean, and as financial analyst in grand scheme of things I share your worries.

On the other hand - this season ST sales has been completed already. So some base is already locked in and money received. Also, coming out of pandemic, lot of upper-middle class families have reserves that will help to get through this winter almost untouched. So main impact will come from next season.

But another thing that actually helps us is that Tottenham Hotspur is global brand. When local residents are suffering, it does impact atmosphere and demand. But I doubt it will mean that stadium would not be selling out. Just those loyal locals will be replaced by well-off tourists. This impact will be furthermore magnified because our new stadium have very good quality VIP part / lounges. I am not sure if it was about our stadium or about gooners dump, but about one of them it was estimated that VIP facilities alone in new stadium earned same income per match as the whole season revenue was on the old stadium.

So - generally clouds of worry are coming up, but Spurs will not get hit as much as Average Joe on the street.

Ok fine but my point still stands that some players simply can be unavailable. And yes okay maybe if you’re Madrid Chelsea Etc you have the draw that the player wants to come and will strike to go there.

We’re not at that level yet. Curiously if we were in for Fofana, do we think he’d strike for us? I genuinely don’t know.

My point is we can’t just take who we want if pay any amount. It’s not that simple. But ok I get what you mean
Hey I’m new in here. I’m still learning the who’s who of backdoor agendas. I’m a Spurs fan and my only agenda is enjoying that. Those on here complaining about every thing Levy/ENIC do are wrong. Those on the other end are wrong as well. I’m just calling out a very poor attempt by some to justify why we haven’t signed a starting RWB. I use RWB because many if not most would agree it’s the most glaring weakness we have.

Opinions are opinions and all that but asking for lists of available players has no merit.

And I agree, we are not in a position to drop €80m plus on Fofana or €100 plus on Antony. The one thing we should all be able to agree on is the market is absolute madness at the moment. Sustainable or not only time will tell.
