Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This is just meaningless nonsense.

You win games by putting the ball in the net, it doesn't matter how you do it. There is no such thing as "deserved" to win/lose, this is complete bullshit.

It is irrelevant how we played today, it was a poor decision. End of story.
Yeah of course, if we had played well there's no chance that we wouldn't have been sweating on a VAR call in the 96th minute is there...

I just can't believe ANY of us were STUPID enough to celebrate that goal...

I naively punched the air with pure, unadulterated joy.... Like a stupid cunt....
but more fool me....

Shoulda waited for fucking VAR to decide whether I'm allowed to BE HAPPY or not!
ONE fucking MOMENT of happiness.... ripped away...

Nah, fuck that, how DARE anyone enjoy ANY brief moment of happiness in this fucking SHITSHOW world we live in right now!

Of COURSE we should have that happiness ripped out of our hands.... How DARE we be happy any more!! What's the fucking point?

Tell you what.... Give the cunts what they want...
Imgine a stadium who greet a last minute 'winning' goal with ABSOLUTE SILENCE?

Let Sky try and sell THAT product to the world!

But hey, if that's what they want, that's what they'll get...
You tell us when we're 'allowed' to be happy, and we'll oblige.... just give us the nod, ok?

Fucking killjoy cunts!

You know what that is an absolutely fantastic idea.. if we could get other fans on board and have a silent protest when goals are scored on a match day weekend that would really send a message that VAR is not what the people want. And yes you’re right Sky would start bricking it that their product is being compromised. How can we get this going?

This woman on the US broadcast says that they are using automated offside technology that uses the lines from the time Emerson touches the ball. Could have sworn the rule is from the moment it leaves his head?
When they were explaining all the technical aspects of the new offside cameras in the UCL I thought it was bullshit.
Tonight they proved it was bullshit.
The reason for the delay IMO was because the VAR ref knew the rules but the "science" was making him wrong.

Can you find the rule?

The third means that an offensive player can always play the ball laterally or backwards, even to a player who'd otherwise be offside (this would occur in the two-on-one possibility from Figure 1), and also means that it's physically impossible to be offside on a corner kick.18 Apr 2017
Doesn't mention ball going backwards, took a few relevant quotes, last paragraph would be key as the argument is not deliberately playing the ball.

It is not an offence to be in an offside position.

A player is in an offside position if:
  • any part of the head, body or feet is in the opponents’ half (excluding the halfway line) and
  • any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents’ goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent
A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched* by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play

A player in an offside position receiving the ball from an opponent who deliberately plays the ball, including by deliberate handball, is not considered to have gained an advantage, unless it was a deliberate save by any opponent.

We aren't better than Sporting on evidence. Beyond that Marseille were giving us a tough old time until they went down a man. Plus, their ground is gonna be something. good luck to those that go.
We are better than Sporting when we actually break a sweat and have a go.

Problem is, we rarely seem to do that nowadays.

We had them on the rack for the last 25 minutes, under a lot more sustained pressure than they ever put us under in either of the 2 matches.

So we have to go away to a cauldron of a stadium, too a team who can also qualify who have half a team of ex Woolwich

Im starting to think thats why they ruled that goal out.

“Just think, if we rule this goal out, it could enhance the importance of the game and the competition next week. Yeah do it”.

Football is corrupt as fuck mate, they want the drama and to take things down to the final day. It's all a big rig job imo. VAR has just made it even worse than it was before. They need to force officials to explain decisions after the game.

Why didn't they send the ref to the monitor? It's a bunch of fucking nonsense.
Yes VAR has made it worse. How is that even possible????

Before VAR you suspected a lot of ref´s were corrupt handing the big clubs free points and dodgy descisions(Fergie-time etc.). But VAR has cemented the game is corrupt, it´s not even a suspicion any more(at least from me) and they aren´t even ashamed of it!!!

Here's the rule according to the laws of the game

"A player in an offside position receiving the ball from an opponent who deliberately plays the ball, including by deliberate handball, is not considered to have gained an advantage, unless it was a deliberate save by any opponent. "

The first goal in this game (1:10) is an example of where a goal was overturned because of this, he plays it just as deliberately as the defender tonight, who lifts his knee up slightly and is clearly trying to block the header.

Can you find the rule?

This is what I found and it makes sense why wouldn't you just not put anyone in the box for a corner if that's the case

You can't be offside from a backwards pass

The third means that an offensive player can always play the ball laterally or backwards, even to a player who'd otherwise be offside (this would occur in the two-on-one possibility from Figure 1), and also means that it's physically impossible to be offside on a corner kick.18 Apr 2017
No, the rule is you can’t be offside if you were behind the ball, doesn’t matter in what direction the ball was played.

Took the words out of my mouth.
