Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It doesn't always take much impact to legit send a player off-balance.

Shouldn't put your hands on a player..... Simple.

It's difficult to make out on this video. I'll evaluate it again once I've seen it but contact and nudges are part of the game for me and at the time thought it was soft and didn't think the force was there from trent.

Spurs have been frustrating, but they are still on a trajectory to finish top four and likely will hit stride after the World Cup when the team is healthy. There is a lot of talent on the team, the coach is one of the best, and Spurs have shown fight and character at times. You can be critical of mistakes, question strategies, and do all the things supporters normally do but the irony is the team needs support the most when times are worst. I think this season is going to be like the games so far, frustrating in the first part (up to the WC) but really good in the second part.

yep they wasted over a min and a half throughout and the corrupt ref was so quick to blow.
He wasn't even attempting to hide his corruption. A minute or do after not giving a pen for Sess he gave a foul on Elliot (I think) for a lesser push then the TAA one.

He saw Hojbjerg get chopped and told hom to get up loooooool. He was absolutely bantering us with the cheating.
Yes, I don't like focusing on refs, but that one clearly had an agenda. We would've had to get gunned down in their box to get something. It's embarrassing but so common. Thing is, refs are untouchable. If the manager or players go out and criticize his performance, they'll get fined. No freedom of speech as far as refs are concerned

I think those pushes are associated with the game and it being a contact sport. It's been done for years it was probably done thousands of times today on Sunday league pitches up and down the country and not thought anything of. I don't think there was enough force in it from memory.
Good points. I think of it in terms of advantage. If a player is matching the pace and rides into the upper body of an opponent that's just physical play and not a penalty. But if a player moves past a defender and is separating from them a push from behind is an unfair advantage and should be called. But that's just my opinion and nothing in the rule book. It would be interesting to know how officials are trained regarding that.

Just got home from the game. Can someone please tell me if VAR looked at thatfirst half 'non' penalty? We were sat at that end and it was a clear, forceful shove in the back. What's the general, unbiased view? I saw a very clear, undoubted foul in the penalty box.
So did all of us

But VAR is obviously constructed to protect the "big clubs", so not even surprised

I think it's how the individual perceives things. I look at it and think if that's given against spurs how would I feel and in this instance I've got to be honest I wouldn't be happy and I'd be saying there's not enough there for me to give a pen. I think it's one of those ones where if it goes for you you you say that's a pen but goes against you you say its soft.

Yes contact and nudges and full blown challenges etc are acceptable and imv part of the beautiful game but it must apply equally to both sides

Tottenham get the worst refereeing on the planet!! Blame some players for not being good enough but that still does not take away from the fact Spurs are given an unlevel playing field every week, while Arse-nil can dive and scream and get tons of free kicks. Football is probably the only major sport that is openly crooked.

Levy needs to contact whoever he can to change the attitude the FA has to Tottenham - Conté told him already.
