It really did. Definitely a few players that looked like they just wanted to play it safe and get it over with at times.
Conte has to reflect seriously on this game.
1. Emerson has to be dropped, for everyone’s sake but most of all his. He has totally lost his nerve, he knows he shouldn’t be out there.
2. Playing Lenglet in the middle doesn’t work. Previously when Romero was out, Davinson replaced him in a straight swap. Replacing him with Dier and putting Lenglet in the middle is making two positions worse instead of one. He is too slow to start games at this level.
