Bit early and weird seeing Richie in that list...
Just go and watch, he managed to control ball dropped from 30 meters, which is best after Neymar in Brazilian squad :D .

With others I more or less agree.
Also let's be honest, our CM duo of trustworthy workhorses are rough around some edges - meaning if you compare them to absolute world class CMs, you see their first touch and controlling of the ball in tight spaces is not quite as good as it might...
TBF to Rich, he's not a totally devoid of finesse, and what he offers in workrate, hold up, headers etc. is valuable. He's still not in the same category as players like Benta, Kulu, Kane, Romero though.

We can have one or two Richarlisons but not half a squad of them.

If we only have 1 plan - to play 3-4-3 100% of the games, then we can throw the towel into the ring from the first day of the season.
We need valid options to shift to 3-5-2 at times. Something Conte has used in his previous clubs as well.

Other alternative is to at times play attacking midfielder in 3-4-3 part of the front 3 at times.
Other alternative is for some period to put in more attacking / possession oriented player as part of our CM duo.

It is fucking criminal how shit we were in scoring from open play before Deki came back.
I think we went like 450 minutes with 1 goal (!) from open play. Others were penalty or corner.
This will never be sustainable if our aims are even microgram higher than narrowly getting over 4th place mark.
Conte only seems to play 352 when we have injuries or fatigue to the strikers.
The problem imo is that we aren't good enough in defence to play out from the back, and Royal and Doherty are both meh. So even if we get the world's best Amf player, Conte is going to expect us to play out from the back. My opinion is that we need to upgrade what we already have rather than splash out on a luxury player.

Ideally next season it will look like:

---------------New--------------
--Romero---New-----New---
New---------------------Udogie
-----Bentancur-Hojbjerg-----
---Kulu--------------------son----
--------------Kane----------------

2nd team

-----------------lloris/Forster-------------
-----Tanganga----Rodon----Davies------
--Spence-----------------------------Perisic--
---------------Bissouma--Skipp-------------
----New----------------------------New---
-------------------Richarlison--------------

That would mean shifting:
Dier
Doherty
Reguillon
Emerson
Ndombele
Lo'Celso
Winks
Lucas
Gil

I know Rodon and Tanganga will likely be shifted with Dier being the back up. That would mean we need to bring in 3 cbs (2 as starters and 1 as a back up) which is very optimistic.

similarly 2 attacking players might be considered optimistic BUT with Lucas and Gil probably going it has to be done (maybe with one of them being a player that doesn't mind a bit part role like Malinovskyi).

I'd keep Sessegnon as an option that can cover lwb and one of the attacking positions and would see how lloris feels about being a back up.

We need footballers, we need finesse, we desperately need intelligence in our squad. Traore is just about the worst possible player we could get, even on a free and on low wages.

In a team do Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier, Sessegnon, Moura, Richarlison, Emerson, Doherty, I can't take another clunky "footballer".

I'll be foul voting anyone recommending him from on.

Adama isn't clunky. He makes awful decisions and can't shoot. His basics are all very good & he's a very talented dribbler to go along with his physical attributes.

A world away from an Emerson or Sanchez on the ball.

I know he's had a rough couple of weeks but we aren't going to sell Eric Dier, he would take Sanchez' place on the bench I would imagine.

I fear he'd be another Llorente, just too old and too past his prime to be worth the hassle.

We have enough forwards tbh. Son, Kane, Kulu and Rich was already becoming a bit tricky cos Conte ended up benching Kulu for a few games. We still have Gil and Lucas, if we offload them in the summer, it makes sense to get a high potential cheap youngster who would add much needed energy and passion.
Son, Kulu, Richie are all in a competition for places. But when there's no Kane, or Kane isn't on it, there's not a #9 to be had in the team. We need a Kane alternative, if for no other reason than to allow Kane to play the #10 when Son/Kulu/Richie aren't around. You can't compare the wing forwards to Kane or Dzeko.

Anyway, we won't get Dzeko. But he's the sort of player we need for depth.

I think there's interest from Man C.

Useful player but we paid way over the odds for him. So far he's been a little disappointing.

Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, Woolwich and Manchester United are all interested in signing Slovakia defender Milan Skriniar, with Inter Milan hoping the 27-year-old will sign a new deal. (

Weren't we showing interest last window? Is he another we let slip through our fingers?

Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli says defender Kim Min-jae has a release clause in his contract valid for 15 days in July. The 26-year-old South Korea international has been linked with Manchester United.
