Lucas Hernandez is only a left back, competing with his brother for LB. Probably Lucas first choice with Theo coming on if we need more attacking.
Fofana and Tchouameni played together at Monaco until 4 months ago so they know each other well. Both have been excellent this year for France too.
Konaté could start instead of Upamecano but they are both competing for the LCB role.

He is but regardless of Chilwell's injury Shaw has played well this season for the majority so he was always going to be called up.
Also Stones was talking about the chemistry between him and Maguire, as much as we don't like it there is a method to the madness and I wouldn't be surprised if he starts alongside Stones.

Think it's really close tbh. Mbappe/Benzema up top is insane, but then so is Vinicius/Neymar/Jesus, don't think there is much in it.
Brazil have the better midfield/keeper but think France just about shade centre backs and fullbacks.

The party-line is that they are non-Qatari locals and people from neighbouring countries that are fans of England, Portugal etc. due to the absence of credible teams in their own nations.
