I guess you are probably kidding but actually good excuse to point out that Conte has us playing some of the best football ever. The goals against city last season etc. it hasn’t always been consistent but that’s about the quality of players and depth in the squad more than the style the manager wants.
The WC was actually refreshing to see that there are different styles of football and everyone doesn’t need to subscribe to dull shite that City and Woolwich serve up every week. The Prem media is obsessed with pressing and tiky taky short pass football because it’s “intense” whatever the fuck that means. Its soooo fucking boring to watch one team dominate every game and just do nothing with the ball for 70% of the game.

Whilst we should be on Levy to back the manager, I think it is also worth taking the view that if Conte walks then it looks pretty bad on him too. Sure managers have to be backed but if he leaves then he is showing that he cant hack it at a club unless he gets it all his own way. It is fucking hard to do well with a club like us, maybe he needs to prove his worth too rather than running off to an easier job. On that front there hardly seems a myriad of options open to him should he leave.
I think that's why the negotiations are taking so long.
Conte has a history of fucking off from clubs when things go pear shaped.

The obvious thing to me, just seems to activate the option of another year. Kick the can down the road and worry about it again then. It will be the same summer Kane will probably walk away on a free so we can have a good go at it under Conte until then and then reassess.

A club won't invest heavily in players for a manager thats not going to be there in 12 months.
