Guy has made us into a giant cash cow, massive money generator from purely a asset building perspective he has done a good job.
In 23 years Turning a £20 mil investment into a company worth a lowball £4 billion while also taking a hearty salary out of said company all that time while also making roughly another £300 mil privately is an elite buisness man whatever you think about him personelly or what he means to thfc.

Conte done very little in my opinion to warrant further money being spent towards his preferred choices, much as he seems to curry favour from a few posters.

My real concern is that whichever manager replaces him will also need some players of quality, and who may be able to get more out of them than Conte could, so I hope we don't cut off our nose to spite our face.

We are lacking but no way as much as cry baby Conte makes out.
I'm loathe to defend Mr inflexible. But to play devil's advocate, are they really Contes signings? Or are they Paraticis signings with Levy very much in the foregrounf counting every penny.

I can't help but think that if Bissouma for example was the man Conte really wanted that he would have been in the team a lot sooner, instead it looks like he doesn't fancy him at all, we all know his thoughts on Spence as he's made them very public. About the only two I think he had serious input on were Kulu and Bentancur hence them coming straight into the side and fitting his system, it also speaks to his rant the other day that he has little to no say in transfers imo.

Realistically - we're getting Poch.

Better sooner than later, cause our current play is fucking depressing AND we will also lose our talented youngsters on top of hottest properties (such as Kane)....

But generally... whoever except for Nuno. I'd take Harry fucking Redknapp back if needed. Right now there is not single thing that is working.
Results - shit and spiralling downwards
How we play - shit
Atmosphere in and around club - shit
Treating of youngsters - shit
Furure expectations - extremely short term (until end of season)

If everything is shit, we'd better change if we don't want it to go even worse.

Oh yea, seems brilliant plan.
With the summer spending, he has taken us from 4th place to a trend to finish in 7th or 8th.

Give him 300-400 mil more and we are right on the brink of achieving title... in Championsip next season.

But seriously though... in situation where manager has awfully failed in integrating new signings as they came... AND is on track to leave in 5 months... giving him OUR YEARLY REVENUE worth of money to spend?!? I mean what? Do you have no perspective at all?

It is like you've been saving every possible penny for years to collect the downpayment to your own house. And then night before transaction, you go to a casino with the whole sum, and put in on blackjack table... without ever playing it or not knowing the rules. Sure, there is some chance that you multiply the money. But most likely you will lose it all and set yourself back.
You realise we are only just at the half way point in the season right? And as shit as it is right now 2-3 shrewd signings could give us what we need to salvage something.

I will join you in sacking off the season when we end up doing zero business but until then ENIC could salvage this shit show if they were inclined and ambitious enough to do so.

Yes I do. And we've became progressively worse throughout that season.

There is no sign of turning things around, cause our coach has no balls or brains, so it keeps getting worse until he will be sacked.

I'm down on Conte as well, he is too inflexible. But just imagine we got him a top draw RWB, a CB and a creative player that suit his system.

Radical idea I know

Levy is absolutely a elite businessman.

He just literally knows nothing about running a football club on the pitch even though he’s been here over 20 years.
Disagree I think he is getting exactly what he wants from the football side, regular Champions league and bums on seats.

That is the extent of his ambition and his mandate from Lewis.

Shame for him that the fans have seen through it for what it is or are at least in the process of waking up.

Cognitive dissonance right there , elite businessman who knows nothing about running a football club thinks running the football club is a good idea . ( for 23 years) Lol
He bases himself at the training ground so let’s not try and pretend he isn’t running things
Elite businessmen know what they are good at and just as importantly what they are terrible at, he is not elite by my definition
