They are more bothered about buying land and turning it into flats and golf courses than they are winning the FA Cup.

We're probably going for Zaniolo because he'll be available on a loan with option/obligation to buy. God forbid we decided on the best possible target concluded a swift, efficient deal. . Yep. We dont identify players based on talent and squad need and then bust a gut to get them. We go for players 99% of the time based on 'can we do a deal' be it contract running down or from a skint club. You might get the odd gem that way but mostly it ends up with us stockpiling middling players.
And people are going to say “remember Kulu’ ad nauseum now when we sign these middling/poorly performing players, as if it applies every single fucking time. We got lucky.
People said it about Lenglet and shock horror .. most out of favour players who have been meh for long periods of time continue that trend.
