Maybe we will buy a player for 100m in 5 years when the bigger clubs are routinely spending 150m.
But in today's money we are not spending 100m on a single purchase while our "rivals" are.

For me it's always been simple, Zaniolo is a long term target which means he's not an opportunistic cheapy like Trossard was. If they have had that long to watch him and gather info, that's enough for me to on board.
