I think it's shaping up to be the case that Everton need to make a sale to bring in one or two players to try and save their season. Have a feeling they'll accept 35-40m for Gordon compared to the 55+ they were looking for in the summer.

Been keeping an eye on him since we've been linked and he seems to have behaved poorly since not getting his move in the summer. Initially thought he had a great attitude on the field and worked hard for his team. Doesn't seem to be the case this season, showing far too much ego for what he's done in his career so far, despite being a talented player.

This is Everton though.... They'll just piss the money away on 2 overpriced, average-poor players.

Maybe. He just is a certain style of player, might suggest we are keeping Conte if we get him. He obviously with Zaniolo, Traore and now Gordon is looking for a hard power runner. He is a very busy player and has a lot of potential but I would imagine Everton wanting a big price.

Ughhhhh... Suddenly i don't want Zaniolo or Gordon even more.

50% right on the last sentence. Our starting 11 definitely need upgrading before the bench, but the bench is also in need of upgrading. If we replace Dier, and the replacement gets injured, then there's a severe drop off in quality with his replacement.

People are so rigid in their thinking.....

It's not like selling a bench player to part fund a starter (and in turn strength the bench with the former starter they replace) is a complex context to grasp.

eg

Rodon out
Ndicka in
Dier to bench.

Portugese tweeter followed by Fabrizio Romano, Alistair Gold etc, so probably legit. A loose translation ( Nabil Bentaleb Nabil Bentaleb can probably improve the translation) :

Deal for €45m payable over two and a half years in 3 or 4 tranches.
However Sporting want to be able to play him in their League Cup final v Porto (which is on Saturday) So will in be announced before then ?

Mancity are entitled to 30% of Sporting's gain so get €11m, whilst Sporting keep the remaining € 34m.

The press and their click bait bollocks. It's obvious, I would have thought, that Everton had lined up Danjuma to replace Gordon when he went. As if they would now sell him to us also. He's off to Newcastle without a doubt

I'd be more than happy with this. Good shotstopper (not as good as peak Hugo obviously), but very secure with the ball. Not sure why he'd leave Napoli, but we'd do far worse than Meret.

As far as Napoli players go, he's not the first name that comes to mind.

Would much rather have kvaratskhelia or Kim min jae.

Starts to get complex when the first teamer you are replacing decides he’s too good to sit on our bench and wants to leave, or causes hassle in the dressing room. These aren’t just chess pieces that can be moved where you want them to go.
