I can forgive Porro for his defensive positioning because it's his first game. Tanganga has been out of position also. Going forward they both are looking fine. Porro looks like a huge upgrade, actually finding space going forward and his cross to Kulu should have resulted in a better chance.

Our defenders overall have been awful. There's no excuse for that performance. We know their deficiencies and have cried out for new centrebacks. This is what happens when the football team is neglected.

Going forward we havent been any better though. Wasteful passes and lazy touches all over. Kane looks dangerous on the ball, but even he is having an off day. Son and Kulu giving away the ball mostly.

I'm struggling to find positives. It's been the opposite of bounebackability - going from such a strong performance in the last game to this.

We've been in worse positions and salvaged points in second halfs. We also have attacking quality on the bench to replace underperformers if they don't show up.

Play to the fucking whistle! Furious with how we thought we will wait it out and regroup for the second half and then Leicester just finished us off. Shocking today, absolutely embarrassing

5-3-2

Kane Richarlson
Bentancour Hojbjerg Sarr/Skipp
Perisic Davies Dier Tantanga Porro

This line-up could have easily been selected today. Obviously what ever Conte chose today wasn't right, he has to take responsibility for that disaster of a first half. Son and Kulu have not looked good in recent weeks

richarlison needs to go up in ST not out wide. get sarr on to really get the midfield battle won, why do we play with an extra donkey at the back? its fucking painful

He hasn't changed much?

Sessegnon is injured (and shit), Porro on paper is an upgrade on Emerson, and Romero is suspended (Tanganga has been fine honestly). The rest is the same squad. It's just that the purple patch is over for shit footballers like Dier and Davies, and now they're back at their true level. Combine that with Son being completely out of form, and you get a first half performance like that.

lol if you cant tell the difference, stop watching. Perisic alone made a big shit change to the team. We are relying on him for just shit crosses every game. And he's useless as a defender.

Individual defenders have been shite, but how many times have Leicester players been picking the ball up and running directly at them? There has been zero organisation. Just turning the ball over and getting caught by counters again and again and again. All over the pitch we've been way too slow in competing and getting the ball down and using it.

I think we're looking here at a culture problem in the club, a symptom of modern times, but for some reason we are particularly bad. One minor example is how players bond with one another, players for example on the team coach before the game will all be plugged into their headphones, phones etc, when even 20 years ago, everyone wouldn't have a choice but to talk amongst each other, discuss, bond, disagree on things etc prior to the game. Talking amongst each other gets each other in the zone and hyped up for the game. Now everyone's just in their own zone, and really only until 30 half or so before the game they're unplugged from whatever modern device they own. It's a god damn shame and something needs to be done.

I know Contes had a hard time personally but let's be honest he's not staying after the summer so it might be kinder all around to pull the plug now. His football can be hard to watch when we're winning and outright depressing when we're losing.

We looked great against City, are the players more at ease when he's not here? Because that's not a great sign
