We've spent a lot on Richarlison who spends his game time on the bench, yet we have poor defenders.
I just don't get the logic in the allocation of our funds that is spent on the squad. Ok I can see if Kane gets injured he's a back up who can step in but our problems are more at the back.

I think Richarlison was a really smart purchase in a vacuum and our 4 players for 3 attacking positions give a lot of interchanging flexibility and also strengthen the situation in preparation of a potential long term future without Kane.

Unlucky twists of injury fate and and an unhealthy refusal to drop Son amidst a downturn in form have conspired to limit his brilliant performances this season mostly to a Brazil shirt. But his time will come.

The problem is that to fill that needed area of the squad in the summer we spent credible money to bring in a high quality long term solution, and then for our even bigger need of an LCB we took a cheap loan punt on a reclamation project in Lenglet, and for our biggest need of all at RWB we did nothing.

I guess I'm agreeing with you, really.

Kelechi Iheanacho has scored 28 goals in 138 games for Leicester.

That is 1 goal every 5 games.

Conte's preferred tactics meant that 3 centre backs, Tanganga, Dier and Davies, plus PEH as a holding midfield player were deployed today to deal with this 'threat'.

If you want to know why Bentancur is injured it is because he has to get through too much work in a midfield battle with at least three other opposition players every week.

Spurs conceded 3 first half goals with this 'safety first' shit show.

Most managers who win things tend to be very inflexible. They can be as they believe in their system and believe if they have the right players it will work and Conte has proven it does at other clubs.

We have a squad with big holes, therefore a manager like Conte or Pep or Klopp you either buy the players to fix the holes or you don’t hire them.

Conte’s system is heavily reliant on good ball playing CB, we have 1 Romero. He might do better if he became more flexible but then again as Poch showed with the diamond as the squad was aging and less able to press it doesn’t always work.

Conte did his job last season getting us to top 4 but if we aren’t going to get him the players he needs it’s over. This isn’t really Conte’s fault or dare I say it Jose or Nuno’s.

This is the fault of the club for having no logical long term plan to build a squad and system. All short term plays, we are like a drug addict getting that shot of heroin giving us temporary happiness.

We will get a new manager and in 18 months be back here complaining about the guy being ‘’stubborn, inflexible, boring, disorganised at the back, having no cohesion up front’’. Same things I heard about, AVB, Jose, Poch, Nuno etc, it just goes on and on in a cycle.

It’s why I don’t care if Conte stay or goes or if a new manager comes in. I only care now about ENIC selling up.

I want ENIC to sell up more than anything. But it could take years. We've seen more enjoyable football with better results under them with Jol, Redknapp and Poch and i'd rather be watching that in the meantime.

The fault is totally with them in having no plan, short term sticking plaster appointnents in Mourinho, Nuno and Conte when they should have shown a bit of vision. But that is beyond them. They've never had a plan and just lucked out a couple of times.

As for Conte he did really well last season and i've no idea what happened in the summer but the form and performances this season has seen several managers sacked for less. Its been a really poor season. You're right we have heard similar about AVB, Mourinho and Nuno. Going back Graham as well and thats because i dont feel they are Tottenham managers. We have a type of manager that works upto a point here and its not the teeth grinding, sufferball variety.

I think contes problem here is he is focusing on how to try to stop the opposition (which isn't working) when he should be focusing more on how we can hurt the opposition with what we have. He's doing the same as Jose just hoping kane and Son pull something out the bag every week.

Ultimately that's what having Porro and Perisic on the flanks is all about.

The tactics fell to pieces today, but that's the path forward.

His assistant did better last week with the same group apart from Romero and Hugo.

Conte doesn't believe anymore that much is obvious. I think the players can see this too and he's clearly off. It's better to make the change now imo to try to rescue this season.
 
He’s not getting the sack before Tuesday . Levy isn’t that stupid. But he’s seems to be playing himself into getting sacked. Players just didn’t show up for him. You’d think they’d have an edge after their manager had a surgery. But their just spoiled rich cunts stealing wages
 
The major thing I’m struggling with is Conte has a structured shape. We saw it last week against man city. It was beautiful. Every player flowed together. Why is it with conte on the sideline today we looked like 11 strangers. Sure we were forced into squad changes but we literally had no shape and could t string passes together. It’s just mind boggling how drastic of a difference these 2 games were

Too much is being made over the result last week against shitty. When Spurs go out they play the same formation and pretty much the same players. When Conte changes players he looks like he hasn't a clue about what formation to play. Last week we benefitted from an arrogant opponent gifting us a win. Today a decent manager formed a game plan to take us out, and Conte was useless..
 
Just wish he would ditch this 5 defence formation. It could work if we had 3 quality CB’s, but we don’t. Our defenders bar Romero are shite. So, with the attacking talent we have, why don’t we go with the 4 attackers like we used to undet Pochettino? Under Poch our main attack we’re Eriksen, Ali, Kane and Son. I would have Danjuma, Richarlison, Kane and Kuluvesci. Kane dropping slightly deeper with Richarlison upfront. Kuluvesci and Danjuma either side.
 
The fact that "by all accounts" he came back early and was feeling pain throughout the match shows that he cares. He just got out-coached on the day. Happens to the best of them. Fucking Nuno out-coached Pep here.


The big issue is the fact that he knows that he's going in the summer, and the team knows that as well.

plays the same system against city as he does against shit like leicester. so baffling. how the hell is that elite football management? i can get the 5 at the back against the likes of city etc, but against inferior sides why is he not setting up to actually hurt the other team. he concedes the midfield every game, no wonder bentancur is now fucked hes been burnt out.
